• Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and serology.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and equipment for accurate diagnostic testing.

• Conduct quality control checks to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of results.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Must be a licensed Medical Technologist (RMT) in good standing.
• Preferably with experience in hospital, clinic, or mobile diagnostic settings.
• Strong technical knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and safety protocols.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in test performance and reporting.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Assist the Senior Medical Technologist in the preparation of the monthly performance report, reagents, and supplies consumption report and other reports needed in the assigned section of responsibility.

TECHNICAL

· Performs different routine special examination/procedures in the assigned section.

· Responsible in the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of machine and equipment on time of duty.

· Assists the section head in doing the monthly census, charges and expenses for the month.

· Responsible in the inventory and evaluation of good quality reagents.

· Ensures reliability of laboratory procedures by running samples together with controls.

· Monitors proper processing, handling and storage of specimen.

· Responsible in overseeing the efficient filing and keeping of results in the assigned section.

· Assists the section head in the evaluation of new machine, methods and procedures based on actual demonstration of prospective companies.

· Responsible in performing the responsibilities of the section head when the latter goes on leave or is absent on duty.

· Supervises the maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.

· Performs the other functions or task as maybe assigned from time to time by the management.

1. SUMMARY

Laboratory Admin is in charge of overall administrative and clerical task that may be perform in the laboratory;

1. RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepares specimens for testing;

· accessioning,

· distributing specimens to proper areas for testing,

· labelling and documentation

· Follow proper laboratory protocols for referred specimens, etc.

· In charge of customer service function such as:

· handling phone calls, faxes and emails;

· responding to client inquiries/requests;

· In charge of the web system and database;

· Assist in basic encoding of requisition and other forms as well as retrieving results from web portals;

· Receives and verifies specimens sent to the laboratory from internal and external locations for accuracy and logged appropriately;

· Handles all administrative files and record monitoring of the Laboratory;

· Double check the requisitions and other forms, paper or electronic, to ensure accuracy;

· Assist in performing equipment and consumable inventories;

· Process request and orders of supplies in the laboratory as necessary;

· In charge of creating specimen manifests for specimens being transported to other testing facilities;

· Coordinate with courier services in transporting specimens from the swabbing location to the laboratory;

· Enforces and follows all laboratory safety rules and reports any possible hazards to Laboratory Supervisor;

· May perform other administrative task as advised by Laboratory Supervisor from time to time;
