The increasing sophistication and high-performance nature of the Teradyne product line has resulted in a need for a Senior Level PCB Design/Engineer who can integrate with hardware engineer design workflows necessary to physically realize complex HV analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit designs.
Education and Skills Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in PCB layout and automated test.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Cadence Allegro Cad tools.
- Uses Cadence Allegro Cad tools extensively (Allegro 17.2 and above).
The position reports to the PCB Design Manager in the US with oversight support by the Philippines manager. The role serves as a design function for PCB Design.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create Component Logical Symbols and Footprints
- Sets up constraint manager design rules and DFM rules.
- Perform routing assessment and project feasibility studies.
- Does complete PCB design from Data entry to Output of fabrication files.
- Some travel may be needed for training, off site meetings.
- Work closely with US PCB Design to resolve DFM/DFT issues.
- All other related duties as assigned by management.
+ Act as a PCB design engineer supporting complex circuit architecture / designs.
+ Realize PCB designs of high component density and high layer count while balancing the competing needs of the electrical design (e.g., high speed signal routing, EMI / EMC, Signal Integrity, HV creepage and clearance rules) with those of the manufacturing standards (DFM and DFT).
+ Participate with fellow PCB designers in best practices for layout and simulation of high-voltage signals as well as analog and power supply circuitry.
+ Elicit layout technique best practices from senior design engineers and incorporate those best practices into the PCB Design Group (i.e., gather, document, train others).
The products produced by Teradyne are dominated by technically sophisticated systems and equipment. Applicants for this position are expected to possess the following qualifications:
+ Practical understanding of:
+ + Analog layout
+ High voltage creepage and clearance rules and how to apply them
+ High-speed digital circuit design (i.e., PCIE, DDR4 speed and above
+ Power supply conversion (i.e., implementation and understanding of copper weights and thermal considerations
+ Signal and power integrity knowledge and application.
+ + RF design (a plus) and / or PCB design that practice these traits:
+ PCB design, design processes, fabrication technology
+ PCB design constraint capture

Will lead a team of electrical and mechanical design engineers engaged in design of Switching Power Supply
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ensure that the team meets over-all design goals.
+ Research, develop and execute design plans.
+ Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high quality and cost effectiveness of design products.
+ Lead electrical and mechanical engineers while coordinating with key contributors within the company and local engineering university.
+ Interact across all business as solutions are required in multiple industries.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
+ At least 10 years' experience in power supply industry.
+ Experience in leading a group of design engineers.
+ Solid technical background in power supply design and an understanding of component characteristics as miniaturization will be a key part of the development.
+ Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills required to deliver results.
+ Team player and willing to take risk and able to deliver under pressure
+ Demonstrates pro-activeness, resourcefulness and highly motivated.
+ Ability to perform electrical circuit design & analysis and FA analysis.
+ Good knowledge of Switching Power Topologies and ability to design high performance power supplies will be an advantage.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to join a new team within the company creating modern embedded systems for use alongside our traditional power products. As an Senior Electronic Engineer you will own the entire development lifecycle from requirements through implementation to testing and production.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Work with internal and external customers to define the product roadmap
+ Work with the team to define the architectures and design the whole system
+ Design well-crafted, testable and maintainable circuits schematics
+ Participate in design reviews, document solutions effectively
+ Co-design board layout with PCB engineer
+ Validate the design quality of the board assembly
+ Proactively participate in resolving ongoing issues
+ Share your knowledge to other team mates
**Qualifications:**
+ Graduate of BS Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
+ **8+ years embedded hardware design experience**
+ Experience in high-speed embedded systems design using ARM processors
+ Experience in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet, USB and/or Display protocols
+ Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, Cadence is an advantage
+ Experience in testing embedded system board with Linux drivers
+ Knowledge in manufacturing process of relevant design

+ Software development experience, ideally embedded Linux
