Job Responsibilities:
The Energy Trader is responsible for the electricity trading transactions in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) in compliance with implementing rules and regulations, guidelines and protocol issued by WESM, NGCP, DOE, TRANSCO, ERC and other government agencies.
- Monitoring real time trading operations and updating market offer based on plant capabilities.
- Submit day-ahead and week-ahead plant nomination and generation forecast to WESM.
- Submit daily trading reports of the transactions to the Energy Marketing Supervisor.
- Check and consolidate the settlement data from the spot market for billing and payment reconciliation and evaluation.
- Ensures smooth coordination with the Systems Operations, Market Operations, and Plant Operations personnel to achieve efficiency in the trading operations.
- Perform default trading and/or remote trading operation as determined by the Energy Marketing Supervisor.
- Assist in the preparation of reportorial requirements and other documentations with government agencies.
- Updated on the latest information and status of the power industry through training and seminars relevant to the trading operations.
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of (Mechanical/Electrical) Engineering, Economics, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience of Energy Trading in the WESM.
- Basic knowledge of WESM operations and competitive electricity markets.
- Experience in solar energy trading is preferable.
- Good in analytical, technical and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, willing to learn, and a team player.
- Willing to work in BGC, Taguig.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
- Monitor all machinery and equipment in the facilities and utilities area to make sure that all centerlines are on target or within the required running condition
- Monitor all storage - fuel and water tanks at the right level for sufficient and continuous operation
- Adjust/fine tune equipment settings to attain proper, accurate and reliable operation
- Respond to immediate repairs and troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, which may arise during operation in his/her specified area of responsibility
- Act as back-up or reliever in the operation of utility machineries during emergency situations

What are the Qualifications?
