Your Team's Impact
Manila's Third-party Data Solutions Engineering team is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead its platform tools developers. The team primarily focuses on developing solutions to enhance the operations and sustainability of FactSet's third-party data products, utilising various technologies. The team also interfaces with other platforms and product teams in Paris, London, Hyderabad, New York, and Norwalk.
We work as an agile team. Each team has an equivalent of a PO and Scrum Master responsible for the solution vision and management of execution. You will report directly to Manila's Associate Director for Data Solutions Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate project staffing and execution between local teams and remote product & engineering peers, leads and stakeholders. Ensures that engineering development for the groups under management is consistently aligned to business priorities and that staffing is optimised accordingly.
Trains, mentors and manages engineering team leads under management to perform highly in their roles. Ensure we continue to build the scale necessary for a growing organisation to meet the growth needs together and build capable team leaders able to become the senior leaders of tomorrow.
- Hire & train new personnel to meet the needs of the teams under management. Collaborate with local and remote leaders on staffing needs. Ensure we meet hiring plan objectives and that we hire and train the right personnel to perform the work needed.
- Problem solve & work on higher-level design (operational or architectural) to ensure the effectiveness of the products under management. Ensure the organisation is operating as efficiently as possible.
