1. Responsible for performing the duties as Company's Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer and International Standardization Organization for Standardization (ISO) document controller.
2. Ensure that the company's legal compliance to the requirements of law in terms of Safety and its environmental performance as regulated by government bodies such as Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)

Education

Degree holder of Engineering Courses, Safety Equipment and Tools.

1. A Licensed Engineer preferably chemical or mechanical engineer; and/or a graduate of BS Agricultural Engineering;

Job Overview:

Responsible for providing health and safety services and technical person competent in pollution control and environmental management and spearheads legal compliances and stakeholder management of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliance with the requirements of PD1586, RA6969, RA 8749, RA9003, RA9275 and all applicable environmental requirements and their respective implementing rules and regulation (IRRs).
• Identifies significant environmental aspects and impacts of the operational activities and recommends mitigating measures in the formulation of the Environmental Management Plan and Contingency Plan.
• Ensure proper performance, operation and maintenance of all environmental management facilities or systems such as wastewater treatment facility, Air pollution devices, Material Recovery facility (MRF), and Environmental monitoring devices.
• Ensures that hazardous wastes are properly disposed and that corresponding Certificate of Treatment (COT) are available.
• Monitors compliances to requirements of the Environmental Compliance Certificate and the submission of the necessary environmental reports and submissions.
• Initiate and intensify environmental management activities and information awareness campaigns.
• Acts as liaison officer to EMB, and keep himself abreast with the requirements.
• Previous PCO experience and accreditation with DENR or LLDA, Has BOSH Certification and training, and experience as a Safety Officer.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Chemical PCO / Safety Staff to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and compliant handling of chemical and hazardous materials, both in our warehouse operations and import processes. While office safety duties occur occasionally, the core responsibilities revolve around chemical import management, permit processing, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

・Handle permits and processes for DENR, DOE, PDEA, LLDA, DDB, PNP, and other relevant government agencies related to chemical importation and transport.

・Monitor and process all required permits and certificates for hazardous materials.

・Carry out site inspections and monitor the implementation of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) procedures.

・Inspect workplaces and promote safe conduct of work.

・Perform all tasks required of a PCO/Safety Officer within the company.

・Stay updated on relevant rules, regulations, and best practices in chemical and hazardous material management.

Job Requirements:

・Basic knowledge of chemicals (Dangerous Goods) and their permit applications to DENR, DOE, PDEA, etc.
