Job Summary
The Integrated Waste Management Facility Head is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of waste management sites, treatment facilities, hauling operations, and motorpool functions. This role ensures that all waste collection, hauling, treatment, and disposal activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
The position oversees senior leaders—including the Operations Manager, Facility Manager, Hauling Manager, and Motorpool Manager—and is accountable for achieving operational excellence, optimizing resources, and maintaining high service standards across all operational units.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Operations Oversight
- Provide overall direction to site operations, facility management, hauling, and motorpool teams.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, performance standards, and productivity goals.
- Monitor KPIs for efficiency, compliance, and service quality, ensuring corrective action when necessary.
2. Leadership and People Management
- Directly manage and mentor Operations, Facility, Hauling, and Motorpool Managers.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within all teams.
- Conduct regular management meetings to align objectives and resolve operational challenges.
- Oversee training, capability-building, and succession planning for leaders and staff.
3. Facility and Site Operations

4. Hauling Operations

5. Motorpool and Equipment Management
- Ensure availability, safety, and reliability of vehicles and equipment to support operations.

- Manage fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and equipment cost efficiency.
6. Financial and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage budgets for sites, facility, hauling, and motorpool operations.
- Control costs while maintaining compliance and service quality.
- Approve procurement of parts, equipment, and materials necessary for operations.
7. Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture across all operational units.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead investigations of incidents and enforce corrective and preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in waste management operations, with 3 years in senior leadership.
- Proven experience in managing hauling, facility operations, and motorpool functions.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and operational management systems.
