The Role
We're seeking a skilled Unreal Engine Animator / Real-Time 3D Artist to join our founding team in the Philippines. This is not a standard production role—you'll be pioneering workflows, experimenting with cutting-edge tools, and transferring innovations to our production teams in Vietnam and Singapore.You'll collaborate closely with animators, designers, and engineers to build cinematic sequences, prototype new systems, and deliver content that transforms the world's most advanced LED displays.
What You'll Do
- Create character, object, and environment animations directly in Unreal Engine.
- Build and manage cinematic sequences, lighting setups, and real-time rendering pipelines to suit Simtech's custom LED displays
- Develop new presentation strategies to assist in virtual storyboarding
- Prototype workflows that reduce turnaround time and improve storyboarding.
- Experiment with AI-assisted tools and integrations to streamline content creation.
- Integrate 3D assets (Maya/Blender/etc.) into Unreal Engine with smooth performance.
- Collaborate with Vietnam and Australian teams, documenting systems for scalable adoption.
- Stay up-to-date with Unreal Engine and real-time production trends.
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine (Sequencer, Blueprints, Niagara, Lighting).
- Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, movement).
- Experience in character rigging and animation workflows.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling/asset pipelines (Maya, Blender, Cinema4D, etc.).
- Ability to problem-solve and innovate in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment.
- Portfolio/reel showcasing real-time cinematic animation work (not gameplay).
- Strong technical skills in Unreal Blueprints
