Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the team strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
- Prepare analysis to support management decision on tax planning and strategy
- Ensure that all processes conducted are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible fashion
- Ensure training and knowledge is up to date
- Recommend changes to procedures to improve the management of taxation and compliance risks
- Support the development and further enhancements of projects promoting efficiency in preparation of government reports and compliances
- Provide guidelines to internal stakeholders on proper tax treatment of transactions
- Timely submission of compliance trackers to GSSC Risk and Compliance team
- Close coordination with various business units for documents/information needed to complete the reports/operational compliances
- Timely preparation of accurate tax returns with supporting calculations/schedules that have been properly reconciled with accounting records
- Filing and payment initiation of approved tax calculations through BIR's Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS) within timelines
- Preparation and submission of tax packs to Group Tax and Strategy through the Global Consolidation System (GCS)
- Timely preparation and submission of accurate regular and ad hoc reporting requirements and operational compliances of PEZA and BOI
- Secure business permits for all sites within timelines
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
- With at least 2 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant
Preferred Competencies/Skills
- Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
