The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care & Assessment
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and ongoing evaluations of patient health status.
Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments.
Administer prescribed medications, including oral, intravenous (IV), and injections, as ordered by physicians.
Provide wound care, dressing changes, and monitor for infection or complications.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, when necessary.
2. Collaboration with Healthcare Team
Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Supervise and mentor nursing assistants (CNA) and LPNs, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Patient Education
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, medications, and necessary lifestyle modifications.
Provide instructions on self-care techniques, including post-discharge care, rehabilitation, and follow-up appointments.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA in the U.S.).
Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatments clearly and comprehensively.
Ensure that patient charts and documentation comply with facility policies and legal standards.
5. Emergency & Critical Care
Respond quickly and appropriately to medical emergencies, performing basic and advanced life support as required.
Assist with life-saving procedures, such as CPR, intubation, or defibrillation, in emergency situations.
Provide immediate care for patients in critical conditions, ensuring stabilization and continuous monitoring.
6. Patient Advocacy & Safety
Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their preferences and wishes are respected throughout the care process.
Identify potential risks, hazards, or complications, and take corrective action to minimize them.
7. Professional Development
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with new nursing practices, technologies, and healthcare regulations.
Maintain licensure and certifications, including required continuing education and re-certification, as mandated by the state or professional bodies.
8. Specialized Care (if applicable)
Provide specialized care in areas such as labor and delivery, pediatrics, oncology, critical care, or other designated units.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor degree or master degree in nursing.
Pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN.
Current state licensure as a registered nurse
Experience:
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility preferred.
Specialized experience (e.g., ICU, pediatric, oncology) may be required depending on the department.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make critical decisions.
