Functional Scope:

• Accomplishes Percentage (%) Volume Achievement and Percentage (%) production efficiency targets
• Supervises daily activities of production personnel and prepares effective production schedules to ensure compliance to all company policies.
• Validates line manpower count to ensure compliance to approved Time and Motion Study (TMS) and achieves required production efficiency.
• Supervises and orients all production personnel for the efficient run of the production.
• Identifies all issues/concerns of the team and provides continuous support to all members according to operating standards on a daily basis.

• Ensures compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives (Zero Lost Time Incident) and implements safety procedures.
• Encodes daily attendance of scheduled production line in database system to be used for payroll.
• Prepares and submits complete, correct and accurate weekly and monthly management reports including other data that maybe required by the management and client.
• Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate.
• Responsible in defining and writing the business requirement specifications of processes for automation update/revision.
• Fully adheres to the company's code of discipline.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations in the central commissary of a start-up food business, where food is prepared, produced, and distributed to branches, or events. In a start-up environment, this role is hands-on and requires adaptability, resourcefulness, and a willingness to help set up systems from the ground up. The Commissary / Kitchen Supervisor ensures efficient production, strict adherence to quality and food safety standards, and smooth coordination with logistics and supply teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily commissary production to meet supply requirements of branches, often adjusting schedules and workflows to match the evolving needs of a start-up business.
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staffs in proper food preparation, handling, and storage.
• Set up and enforce standardized recipes, portion controls, and basic production documentation.
• Maintain and monitor inventory of raw materials, packaging, and supplies; coordinate closely with purchasing for timely replenishment.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety regulations; establish sanitation routines suitable for a start-up facility.
• Create and adjust staff schedules based on production demands and business growth.
• Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of products to branches/outlets, anticipating and resolving delivery challenges common in a start-up phase.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Keep accurate records for production, wastage, and deliveries, helping to build the company's operational database.
• Assist in developing and refining processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations.
• Recommends and collaborate with management in shaping commissary policies, SOPs, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
• At least 3 years' supervisory experience in a commissary or production setting, and F&B industry; experience in a start-up or new business launch is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of food safety, storage, and distribution procedures.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment with shifting priorities.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

3. Consolidates Schedule of the whole production team as submitted by each production specialist.
4. Ensures that set standard Productivity are consistently met.
5. Ensures that set standard yield are consistently attained.
6. Ensures that production team adheres to product standards set by the Plant.
7. Responsible for the team's effective usage of resources.
8. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team on any issues related to product quality and product safety.
9. Ensures that team scheduled target production are completed on the day-to-day basis.
10. Conducts regular Operational and Pre-Operational sanitation inspection to ensures section's adherence to the sanitation requirements and standard set by the Plant.
11. Ensures that respective section follow set SSOPs & Hygiene/Sanitation requirements.
12. Maintains an orderly workplace through implementation of 5S programs.
13. Responsible for the team's compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices.
14. Ensures that products delivered to customers conforms to the standard set by the plant.
15. Pass the third-party audit conducted by FDA and other government institution.
16. Utilizes technical expertise to ensure continuous improvement of product & processes resulting to reduction of manufacturing cost.
17. Recommends procedural or any process related improvement that impacts on productivity and efficiency.
18. Motivates teams of production specialists and Rank & File employees to ensures all team members perform to the set criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• BS Food Tech, IE, or Science related courses

EXPERIENCE:

• at least 3 years of Food Manufacturing experience.
