Job Title: Occupational Health Physician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly qualified Occupational Health Physician to oversee and manage the medical and occupational health programs of the company. The physician will provide medical care, promote health and wellness in the workplace, ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards, and guide the organization in implementing preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work medical examinations.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage work-related illnesses and injuries.
• Provide medical consultations and referrals as necessary.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs and policies in compliance with DOLE, DOH, and other government regulations.
• Lead and supervise the Occupational Health team (nurses and clinic staff) to ensure effective clinic operations.
• Monitor workplace conditions and collaborate with management in identifying occupational health risks and preventive measures.
• Participate in accident and incident investigations, providing medical insights and recommendations.
• Promote health and wellness programs such as vaccination drives, health seminars, and disease prevention activities.

• Prepare and submit required medical and compliance reports to government agencies and company management.
• Ensure clinic readiness, availability of medical supplies, and adherence to occupational health standards.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution.
• Must be a Licensed Physician with a valid PRC license.
• Preferably with Diplomate/Fellowship in Occupational Medicine or completion of PCOM/BCOM Training.
• At least 2 years of experience in occupational health, corporate clinic, or related field.

• Serve as the Company Physician in compliance with DOLE's Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
• Conduct periodic medical examinations of employees.

• Prevents diseases or injuries in the workplace by establishing proper medical supervision over substances used, processes, and work environment.
• Conserves the health of the workers through physical examinations, proper advice for placement, and health education.
• Provides first aid, emergency services, and treatment depending on the nature of the industry.
• Assures adequate medical care of ill and injured workers.
• Encourages personal health maintenance and physical fitness and proper nutrition practices.
• Provides guidance, information, and services for family planning programs.

BASIC FUNCTION

• Responsible for the provision of general medical services to all patients employees and dependents of the Company-Philphos: Performance of Pediatrician, Internist, Minor surgical, Obstetrics and Gynecological functions (General Practice)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports as regular duty from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm except Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays
• Reports when called in, even during off-duty to evaluate, treat and manage medical emergencies
• Tasks to monitor all medicines dispensed at the Pharmacy
• Issues, fills out and signs "Back-to-Work'' slips, PCF- Sick Leave applications, Medical Certificates, Medical Insurance, SSS claims and medical referrals/LOA for Annual Physical Exam of employees.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Doctor of Medicine graduate from a recognized medical school; must have passed the Philippine Medical Board Examinations; Completed 3 years, accredited residency in a respectable general hospital.
• Excellent communicator/interpersonal skills; with compassion and empathy; strong work ethic and a Team Player; with at least 2 years Intensive practice; willing to be assigned at Plant site in Isabel Leyte.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent, with active medical license.

Position summary:

Assumes the role of both University physician and occupational health physician in conformity to University and occupational health standards. Basic functions include emergency response and first-aid; medical consultations; physical examination; medical assistance; medical documentation; 7S implementation; assistance in ensuring a safe and healthful school environment; and professional growth.
