She primarily works with QuickBooks. About the Role: As a Virtual Bookkeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for providing remote support to our client’s accounting team and clients, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Collaborate with the client to optimize bookkeeping processes and implement best practices. Communicate effectively with clients to address questions Ensure the confidentiality and security of clients' financial information. Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the accounting team. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience working with a client in a tax preparation setting. Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Knowledge of GAAP, federal and state tax regulations Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
