Main Job Purpose
The primary role of Maintenance Lead is to direct and guide area engineers and maintenance technicians, so the team can perform their work assignments efficiently and in a safe manner. This includes ensuring technicians have the required training and skills to perform work that meets all appropriate standards . Maintenance Lead i s also responsible for ensuring that the uptime of equipment and assets is adequate to meet production plans. They contribute to improvement initiatives by continuously improving maintenance procedures and technology.
The Maintenance Lead role will focus on elimination of breakdowns and maintenance of basic conditions through use of Focused Improvement and Quality improvement methods including implementation of countermeasures that simplify processes, utilize predictive / preventative maintenance effectively and introduce increased automation and controls.
Working directly with the line crews, maintenance team, and cross-functional teams the Maintenance Lead also acts in support of technical training for maintenance team and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of countermeasures .
This role also has responsibility and support for preventative maintenance functions to improve reliability, efficiency and cost.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Use experience and expertise to coach and guide assigned work of Maintenance Technicians within expected timelines to the quality required
+ Assess skills gaps and seek to close these through timely and appropriate training interventions.
+ Provide appropriate equipment and training to ensure safe working practices are upheld and environmental standards are adhered to.
+ Eliminate Loss according to the UMS prioritization process using PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
+ Ensure equipment is available to meet production plans by applying the UMS PM Methodology.
+ Validate standards applied by operators performing autonomous maintenance tasks and review with First Line Managers in production as necessary.
+ Review entries in DMS for accuracy and timeliness and take action where required .
+ Assess opportunities for continuous improvement in both preventive and predictive maintenance and build in to ongoing plans
+ Implement preventative, predictive maintenance and design / automation improvements to maintain basic conditions and increase MTBF
+ Identify and extend good practice to other lines.
+ Key Performance Indicators (as driven by Cost Deployment Analysis):
+ Breakdowns (PM Loss), MTBF, Maintenance Cost
+ Benefit/Cost Ratio (a. For projects led b. Measured against salary).
+ Spare parts cost reduction.

ESSENTIAL
+ 5 + Years experience of Maintenance Experience in FMCG / related Industry

+ Good to have attained Professional Engineer Status (Or member of professional institution)
PREFERRED
+ FMCG experience and/or Unilever Exposure
+ Manufacturing & Technical background is required
+ Experience in automation and controls : Allen Bradley , Omron, etc.
+ Experience in AM, PM, Quality and FI tools and processes.
+ Confident in applying problem solving tools (5W1H, 4M, 5WHY etc.)

MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Projects Engineering Technician has the overall responsibility for supporting Projects identified by the Cost Deployment Pillar, Innovation and Masterplan .

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety and Quality

+ Contribute to the right specs definition to meet Customer expectations both for new products (Prototyping / Industrialization). Proactively interact with all internal and external customers to continuously maintain updated knowledge of customer expectations in terms of quality.
Planning and Documentation
+ Define the scope of the project in collaboration with steering committee. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities considering to risk assessment. Develop, control and co-ordinate the flow of entire project documentation, filing and storage system and technical archive activity in order to meet legal and PMI requirements. Prepare technical documents. Check for completeness and accuracy in order to support the activities of the project and department.
+ Review technical drawings, drafts and/or sketches prepared by design consultants, construction company and other engineers, work with technical references, directories in order to review and to carry out analyses of works performed by design consultants and construction companies.
Equipment installation/Project Implementation
+ Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and solving problems to ensure the successful completion of the project. Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes. Participate in the checkup of materials, execute technical and design supervision of the installation of new equipment in order to ensure high quality of the installation and commissioning of the equipment. Integrate new equipment, conduct necessary risk assessments , provide input for preparation of related documentation in order to fully comply with legislation and internal procedures. Lead equipment validation process. Coordinate Computerized Systems/Equipment validation procedures and rules. Make all necessary arrangements for hand over and acceptance of new devices/equipment for commissioning and the registration of the new equipment in order to transfer to the factory asset responsible and registry system (SAP, SAM) to ensure further maintenance.
Communication
+ Maintain communication within and with relevant departments in order to execute the project plan and to find the most timely /cost effective solutions. Initiate work organization improvement in order to use available resources in the most effective way. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project .
Co st
+ Prepare project reports for management and steering committee. Monitor all budgeted project expenditures. Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to steering commi tt ee on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly). Manage all project funds according to budget, according to company policies and procedures.
+ Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date. Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for stakeholders. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
Standardization
Maintain the standardization level of manufacturing equipment by ensuring that no change to the design is executed unless duly validated through centralized change management process. Make sure all Change Management procedures are respected and applied and a proper qualification process takes place.
Admin
Compliance to company COBP, C R&R
Compliance to the GMP and GHK rules of the plant
Focused Improvement
+ Participates in Focused Improvement activities
+ Executes agreed Focused Improvement actions
+ Raises improvement activities (OFI) and OPL
+ Validates results and effectiveness of Focused Improvement activities via real time observations
Maintenance
+ Support Project Specialists on the User Requirement Specification (URS) to be used for Bidding.
+ Support Project Specialists Request for Proposal (RFP), Technical Recommendation Letter (TRL), Notice to Proceed (NTP) for all Projects procurement transaction .
+ Create Purchase Requisition (PR) via Ariba, Coupa or SAP and coordinate closely with Procurement team to convert to Purchase Order (PO).
+ Monitor and ensure on time delivery of PO. Coordinate closely with vendor and Port-clearing.
+ Performs Good Receipt (GR) and ensure 100% GR forecast compliance.
+ Support Project Specialists on the creation of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for New CapEx
+ Support Project Specialists on the c reat ion Management of Change (MOC) and secure approval to all stakeholders.
+ Support Project Specialists in coordinating to all stakeholders from start of the project up to end of the project.
+ Support Project Specialists in coordinating to inter-department (Electrical, Mechanical & Utilities) from conceptualization to turnover of the projects.
+ Prepare and maintain MP Information database.
+ Prepare Project Network
+ Lead the Projects installation and commissioning
+ Support Project Specialists in completing IQ, OQ, PQ FAT/SAT Checklist
+ Ensure all Project compliance to Machinery Safety standards and Hygienic Plant Standard
+ Support Project Specialists in coordinating, conducting and lead ing the training for New Equipment Operation and Maintenance.
+ Prepare the Project to Asset capitalization
+ Support Project Specialists in coordinating and u pdat ing P&ID & Factory Layout affected by the Projects
+ Send daily progress report for all projects.
+ Work with other Pillars on improvement related projects

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Asset Care & Maintenance Execution
+ Lead and manage planned maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, and autonomous) across sachet & bottle filling machines, conveyors, and supporting infrastructure.
+ Ensure high standards of plant availability and reliability through robust planning, execution, and follow-up of maintenance activities.
+ Develop and maintain machine care plans aligned to Unilever's UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System) standards.
2. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
+ Identify chronic losses in your area and lead root cause elimination initiatives using tools such as RCA, 5 W+1H, and FMEA.
+ Drive continuous improvement projects that enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce energy consumption, and minimize product and packaging waste.
+ Leverage Lean and TPM principles to deliver year-on-year performance gains.
+ Work with the maintenance planner to track breakdowns and develop countermeasures for repeat issues.
3. Engineering for Safety & Quality
+ Ensure all activities in your area meet Unilever's safety, health, and environment (SHE) standards.
+ Own risk assessments, permit-to-work processes, and contractor safety compliance. Develop procedures that do not exist
+ Perform audit on LOTO procedures and update with Safety team
+ Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure machine and process design meet hygiene and GMP expectations.
4. Budget & Spare Parts Management
+ Own and control the maintenance budget for your area, delivering cost-effective maintenance without compromising quality or safety.
+ Optimize spare parts consumption through data-led analysis and predictive planning.
+ Work with the storeroom and maintenance planner to ensure the correct parts and quantity of parts are being stocked for each machine and critical components.
+ Partner with procurement and stores teams to ensure critical spares availability and stock accuracy.
5. People & Contractor Leadership
+ Coach and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, enabling a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.

+ Supervise third-party contractors during equipment servicing and project work, ensuring high standards of execution and adherence to site protocols.
6. Digitalization & Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records through the Digital Maintenance System (DMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Track KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, planned vs unplanned maintenance ratio, and maintenance cost per equipment.
+ Translate insights from performance data into clear action plans.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering
+ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical, or packaging industry environments
+ Experience with vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) and sachet & bottle filling equipment and associated utilities
+ Experience with CMMS systems
+ Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to coordinate and communicate with teams working different shifts across 24/7 schedule
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex maintenance tasks in a complex production environment
+ Working knowledge of maintenance systems, engineering compliance, and SHE requirements.
Preferred:
+ Lean Six Sigma, WCM, or TPM exposure

Main Job Purpose:
Th e SUIT Engineer will function as support for the change management role on projects, ensuring all inputs are available and SC is geared up for deployment including new innovations, VIP, product transfers, rollouts , recipe changes and line extensions with an agreed time plan.
He/She will also apply extensively the full range of Focused Improvement/Quality and EEM pillar methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service and Logistics and optimize the cost for projects.
SUIT Enginee r will also support the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line .
