About the role
The Assistant Planner will support the Project Planner in monitoring and tracking project progress and highlight any issues and risks. Validate actual hours against the actual time log, verify actual progress declaration and generate daily time record (DTR) of production to be uploaded to IFS for time registration.
Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Validate and record daily man hours accurately, resolve PDWAL discrepancies, liaise with coordinators and project managers, and provide weekly rework summaries to support project planning and vessel cost tracking.
- Update and validate project progress monitoring files, ensure accuracy of EV/PV/actuals, conduct onsite verification, and coordinate timely submissions to the project planner for weekly reporting.
- Prepare and generate accurate weekly DTR reports, ensuring correct coding, biometric alignment, and IFS upload compliance, while maintaining reliable data backups.
- Understand and analyse project WBS, vessel status, and unit build requirements through general arrangement and breakdown drawings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend enhancements to reporting, and support more efficient submission timelines.
- Apply EV, EAC, ETC, planned values, and performance indicators (CPI, SPI) to support project scheduling and monitoring.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies to maintain workplace standards and accountability.
