About The Job Procurement Officer
About the role
Efficiently conduct procurement of goods and services to meet the requirements of the company with respect to time, quality and cost.

Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understand the overall purchasing process (PR-PO)
• Receive Purchase Requisitions and assess for accuracy and completeness.
• Clarify any ambiguity in the PR and translate into sourcing requirements.
• Identify suppliers capable of supplying the goods/service required, and request and obtain quotes.
• Assess quotes against requirements; engage with requestors/ stakeholders; advise of preferred outcome; obtain approval to proceed with commercial proposal.
• Update status and delivery timelines in trackers and provide other updates and reports as required.
• Expedite late deliveries with suppliers; engage with logistics to develop options for faster delivery
• Take ownership of follow-up work for certain material discrepancy reports received and process close out in a timely manner
• Manage and resolve, in coordination with Finance and relevant parties, any payment and invoice issues
• Assess and process new supplier applications
• Familiarize and implement relevant commercial contracts for goods and services.
• Ensure compliance to Austal Philippines Commercial Terms & Conditions for all suppliers.
• Responsible to review all processed orders per assignment, close out and clean up in accordance with terms and within project lifecycle period.

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Graduate of any relevant course or degree
• Effective communication skills written and spoken
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
• 3 5+ years working in a Supply Chain / procurement environment
• Experience conducting procurement functions in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, preferably IFS or similar.

About The Job Junior Structural Engineer
Purpose of the Role:
The role is responsible for the delivery of structural calculations, drawings, and reports for assigned shipbuilding projects. The role ensures all structural outputs meet class, flag, and client requirements, and are completed within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations using spreadsheets, hand methods, or FEA software (e.g. STRAND7).
• Prepare drawings, lift plans, reports, and requisitions aligned with Austal standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with production, project, and design teams to ensure deliverables are integrated and accurate.
• Ensure outputs are thoroughly planned, internally checked, and compliant with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Lead or support structural design tasks depending on competency level.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of marine structural design experience (shipbuilding preferred).
• Proficient in steel/aluminium structural design and software such as AutoCAD, STRAND7, Shipcon.
• Strong understanding of classification society and flag state rules (e.g. DNV, BV, IMO HSC Code)
• Licensed Naval Architect or Structural Engineer (preferred).

About the job Project Technical Engineer

The role is responsible to provide effective management of Engineering and Technical elements of a project to enable overall project success.

Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as central point of liaison for technical discussions, approvals, and issue management between Client, Classification Society, Flag Authority, Marina (Philippines Maritime Authority), and Austal internal departments.
• Ensure that vessel and systems performance is as per the requirements of the Vessel Specification, Classification Society, Flag authority, and Austal Construction standards.
• Management of statutory and regulatory bodies; inclusive of conduct of engagement, requirements mapping, costing and execution.
• Management of the Engineering and technical aspects of Projects.
• Monitor procurement activities such as equipment order list, material take-off items, and critical services.

Essential
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:

• Bachelor' s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
• Has 5+ years relevant work experience in ship design/ shipbuilding
• Has minimum of 5 years' experience within Engineering and or Design functions
• Strong technical skills and the ability to problem solve
• Experience with Maritime statutory and regulatory bodies

Desirable

• Licensed Philippine Naval Architect and Marine Engineer
• Aluminium shipbuilding experience
• Experience in ship commissioning activities
