The Role

As a Community Manger (Reddit Focus) at The Ortus Club, you will be the company’s dedicated presence on Reddit, ensuring that our brand is visible, credible, and respected across the platform. More than just posting content, you’ll navigate Reddit’s unique culture and community dynamics to spark genuine conversations, share insights, and connect with the right audiences. Your work will help position The Ortus Club as a trusted voice in communities that matter to our business.

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and map out relevant subreddits (e.g., marketing, AI, B2B, leadership, events) where The Ortus Club can add meaningful value
  • Actively participate in discussions by commenting, answering questions, and contributing thoughtfully to existing conversations
  • Share insights, discussion prompts, and perspectives in a way that aligns with community etiquette and fosters credibility
  • Build relationships with moderators and community members to strengthen our presence and avoid being flagged as spam
  • Monitor activity and engagement to identify opportunities for further interaction and brand positioning
  • Provide regular reports on Reddit performance, insights, and community sentiment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align Reddit contributions with broader marketing and thought leadership goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or any related field
  • Proven familiarity with Reddit’s platform, culture, etiquette, and community dynamics
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone depending on the subreddit and context
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to spot opportunities for authentic engagement
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing conversations across multiple communities
  • Experience in community management, social media, digital marketing, or Quora is a plus
