Food and Beverage Attendant
A Food and Beverage Assistant, or Food Server is responsible for serving food. Their duties include assisting with food preparation in the kitchen, keeping buffets fully stocked with fresh dishes and clearing away dirty plates and cutlery.
Responsibilities
- Setting up marquees and arranging tables.
- Greeting customers in a confident and professional way before taking their orders, serving items and cleaning away used crockery, cutlery and glasses.
- Understanding all food and beverage items on the menu and be able to explain particular products to customers and offer personalized recommendations.
- Excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry three plates and to deliver drinks on trays.
- Taking drinks orders and serving drinks to guests at their table.
- Opening wine bottles at the table and pouring drinks for guests.
- Wiping down tables and chairs, removing rubbish and clearing spaces.
- Assisting on other sections or help with other duties when the kitchen is short staffed, or in emergencies.

Qualifications

Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the Food & Beverage Division of NTQ, leading a team of staff and working closely with the Team Leader to deliver excellent service to resort guests. This role includes managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, mentoring, and training staff, as well as ensuring sufficient manpower during peak seasons. The supervisor will also be actively involved in food preparation, menu suggestions, and event planning. Additionally, they will ensure that VIP guests' food and beverage needs are met and provide support for other resort needs as assigned by the Operations Manager, General Manager, or President.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the Food & Beverage team, including the Team Leader and staff, to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare work schedules and manage manpower requirements, especially during peak seasons.
- Mentor and train team members to maintain service standards and efficiency.
Food and Beverage Operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to quality and presentation standards.
- Participate in food tastings and provide suggestions for menu themes, especially for events.
- Manage inventory of food and beverage supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Guest Services
- Ensure VIP guests receive personalized attention, particularly for their food and beverage preferences.
