1.1 Conducts the daily endorsement.
1.2 Conducts rounds with the nursing staff on all patients in the area of the unit at least twice (at the end of endorsement and before the end of the shift).
1.3 Performs electrocardiogram (ECG)
1.4 Ensures that the cardiac monitor is operative.
1.5 Partake in changing nebulization every time and when needed
1.6 Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
1.7 Participates in the transfer of equipment and supplies to and from other Cardiopulmonary Departments as necessary
1.8 Initiates and monitors Mechanical Ventilator support including equipment monitoring
1.9 Ensures doctors order are carried out
1.10 Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education of patients with cardiopulmonary impairment as directed by the physician.
1.11 Evaluate effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress
1.12 Assists in follow-up the results of all laboratories and diagnostic procedures.
1.13 Checks the unit and patients rooms for equipment and safety issues.
1.14 Communicates with the Resident Physician in terms of referral and relaying ancillary procedures.
QUALIFICATION
1.1 Passed the Respiratory Therapist Board Examination in Professional Regulation Commission.
1.2 Certified BLS and ACLS Provider
