Job Title
Delivery Project Manager

Purpose of the role
This position is responsible for developing project plans and estimates, and end-to-end project management from initiation through implementation and deployment. This position entails monitoring of project cost, schedule and scope, as well as metrics reporting and analysis. This position will work with another project manager for direction and guidance but is expected to be able to work independently on assigned projects/releases. The job requires interfacing with external and internal project team members from different departments, clients, and at times, 3rd-party providers. This involves simple to medium complexity projects, with possibility of running multiple projects at a time.

In This Role You'll

  • Project/Phase Planning and Estimating: Develops project plans (timeline, resources, critical path) and estimates through negotiations with the client and working with different teams.
  • People Management and Development: Provide performance feedback as input to the formal performance management process
  • Process Capability Development and Special Initiatives  Consistently looks for ways to improve own, project team's and other teams' productivity based on project management experiences and lessons learned Ensures project team's compliance to defined processes
  • Implementation Planning and Management reates the solution implementation plan and manages the overall implementation effort with inputs from all other teams. acilitates and coordinates the cut-over/implementation. erifies the compliance and completion of all implementation documentation, including approvals to move to production.
  • End-to-end Phase/Project Management roactively and assertively manages and monitors execution of deliverables and status. nderstands the fundamental solution being developed/deployed – its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall business solution (including architecture, risks, etc).  alates issues to management which cannot be resolved at the Project level. nsures project issues, risks and conflicts are addressed, including cross-team items. anages critical path, dependencies, contingency, scope/change requests, and overall budget performance. nsures the project members are effectively managing dependencies, budgets, and schedule. nsures the customer expectations are understood and managed. eports and manages overall project /release status back to the customer and account Leadership wns all projects deliverables; ensures proper communication between teams and quality levels; responsible for end to end solution delivery alidates that proper deliverable and phase stage containment is occurring (e.g. signoffs, dependencies). anages all Change Requests, validates all budget/schedule impacts from Leads, obtain the customer commitment, and communicates approved changes to all teams.

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Must possess a University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline with good academic records from schools with reputable CS/IT programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience working directly with external customers
  • Airline or travel industry specific to messaging related to governmental security; airport operations; and booking/sales via GDS, OTA and/or other partner airlines
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Can start ASAP.

Job Summary

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the technical delivery and dependency management through close collaboration with P11 stakeholders (i.e. Product Owner, Service Designer, Production Engineering, Shared Services) as well as other cross-functional units within the organization (i.e ITG, ISD etc.)

The delivery manager performs SCRUM Master duties and responsibilities to the SRUM team in addition to developing the project plan, scope, estimates, timelines and manage the implementation of technical projects using project management methodologies (waterfall or agile) to ensure on-time delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance to process and technical standards.

The Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are fulfilled as committed, that roadblocks, risks, and issues are managed in a timely manner, and that implementation is done in compliance to the IT Governance framework.

  • Facilitate effective project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring adherence to SCRUM principles and practices as a SCRUM Master.
