Role Summary
This HR Director is responsible for country HR leadership for IWG's employing entities in the Philippines, notably for the Manila Global Service Centre (GSC). This entails full accountability over talent acquisition, strategic workforce initiatives, rewards and recognition, performance management, employee relations, and local HR compliance. This person acts as an advisor to the Managing Director of the Manila GSC on all people-related matters, while serving as a point of contact to Philippine government regulatory bodies.
Additionally, the HR Director leads the global HR Shared Services team, delivering end-to-end global HR services (hire-to-retire) across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM, and ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient service experiences at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Country HR Director
- Provide proactive HR support to senior management that ensures we hire, retain and motivate a highly engaged workforce.
- Lead the full HR agenda for the Manila GSC, covering 1,000+ employees across Finance, Construction and Design, Supply Chain, HR, and other Support Services.
- Represent the organization to all Philippine labor and statutory authorities (DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, etc.).
- Drive a high-performance culture by ensuring all team members have SMART targets and under-performance is proactively addressed.
- Serve as the final approver for performance improvement plans, employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Oversee local C&B design, compliance, and alignment with wider Group frameworks.
- Act as the internal HR business partner to the GSC Managing Director and local business function heads
- Drive country-specific talent strategies including predictive hiring, talent benching, attrition planning, and employer branding.
As Director of HR Services
- Lead global delivery of HR Services across all employee lifecycle stages: onboarding, data management, benefits administration, employee lifecycle, exit processing, and compliance documentation.
- Design and execute transformation strategies to streamline and automate HR operations anchored on balancing customer experience with controls and compliance.
- Work with the relevant process teams to build and manage delivery playbooks to ensure SLA and compliance adherence.
- Own global policy documentation for HR Services, partnering with Finance, Payroll, and IT as applicable.
