Scope and Responsibilities:
Engineering Operations and Production Support
• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of engineering projects, with a particular focus on new model development, process enhancements, and tooling setup.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, and ensure strict adherence to deadlines and financial constraints.
• Conduct trial runs for new projects, analyze results, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Document each project phase comprehensively to maintain records of processes, changes, and outcomes for future reference.
• Analyze product defects, identify root causes, and establish corrective actions to reduce failure rates and improve yield.
• Implement yield improvement strategies that target consistent product quality, process reliability, and production efficiency.
• Develop and enforce process controls, particularly for new models, to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address recurring issues and implement preventive measures for quality improvement.
• Ensure all engineering resources and expertise are available to support production requirements, resolving issues that may disrupt workflow.
• Identify and provide solutions for production bottlenecks, proposing and implementing improvements that enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
• Design, develop, and introduce jigs, tools, and machinery modifications to optimize production processes.
• Conduct evaluations of existing processes, pinpointing areas for improvement and initiating action plans for enhanced production efficiency.
• Use project management tools such as Gantt charts to track project milestones, timelines, and status updates, ensuring timely project completion.
• Regularly monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay within schedule and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address any factors affecting project timelines, facilitating prompt resolution to keep projects on track.
• Lead efforts to identify and implement engineering innovations that reduce costs, improve product quality, and streamline production.
• Research and propose the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methods that align with company goals and enhance the Engineering Department's capabilities.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, motivating team members to identify inefficiencies and suggest ways to enhance engineering processes.
Team Leadership and People Management
• Supervise and mentor a team of Engineers, Technicians, and support staff, providing direction, support, and feedback to ensure high performance.
• Conduct regular reviews of team activities, including daily turnover reports, to assess project progress and productivity.
• Establish team goals, guidelines, and performance expectations, aligning team efforts with departmental and company objectives.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure efficient use of staff skills and balanced workload distribution.
• Attend daily production and monthly quality meetings, representing the Engineering Department and addressing cross-functional concerns.
• Foster effective communication with production, quality, and other departments to ensure aligned goals and coordinated efforts.
• Act as a primary point of contact for other departments regarding engineering support, production challenges, and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide clear and timely updates to the Engineering Manager and other stakeholders on project statuses, ongoing improvements, and key performance indicators.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering projects, yield improvement, and quality control.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly reports detailing engineering activities, challenges, accomplishments, and progress towards KPI goals.
• Review monthly KPIs with the team, analyzing trends and identifying areas requiring improvement or adjustment.
• Ensure all reports and updates are detailed, accurate, and reflective of both team and project performance.
Other Related Tasks
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Engineering team and ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment. Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within an engineering department, with proven experience in managing teams and engineering projects.
• Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from concept to completion, with a strong record of meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
• Practical experience in providing engineering support to production teams, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing effective solutions to optimize workflows.
