Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for performing water analysis in accordance with the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater and established procedures, and used oil analysis in accordance with the ASTM Standard Methods and established procedures.
Job Overview:
POWER PLANT TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
1. Monitors online parameters every day and perform laboratory analysis for grab steam/water samples on two-hour interval.
2. Prepares laboratory chemicals and standard solutions required for water/steam quality analysis, lube oil analysis and limestone purity analysis.
3. Upkeep and perform calibration of laboratory equipment and facilities related to boiler feed water analysis.
4. Monitors Chemical Dosing System (CDS) and adjust dosing rates depending on the water/steam quality at a certain LOAD.
Qualifications:
BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering
Experience in Thermal Plant is an advantage
