Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Setup

• Operate labelling equipment to ensure accurate placement and adhesion of labels on packaged food products.
• Set up and adjust labelling machines for different product lines, sizes, and packaging formats.
• Perform machine start-up, shut-down, and changeover procedures as required.

Quality Control

• Verify that all labels are correctly applied, legible, and aligned.
• Check label content against production orders (e.g., product name, batch number, expiry date, nutritional information, barcodes).
• Remove defective products and ensure re-labelling or rework as per SOP.
• Monitor the consistency of label rolls, adhesives, and print clarity.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct routine machine checks and preventive maintenance.
• Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues such as misfeeds, jams, or misalignments.
• Report recurring equipment problems to the maintenance team for repair.

Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately record labelling data (batch numbers, quantities, downtime, rejects) in production logs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company SOPs, and GMP standards.
• Participate in internal audits and inspections related to labelling and packaging.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Adhere to all safety protocols when operating labelling equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized to avoid cross-contamination and hazards.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and hygiene procedures when performing adjustments or cleaning.

Collaboration

• Coordinate with the production, QA, and warehouse teams to ensure labelling materials are available and accurate.
• Report issues immediately to the Production Supervisor to prevent delays in output.

QualificationsRequired:

• High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
• Experience in operating production or packaging machinery (preferably in food manufacturing).
• Knowledge of basic machine operation, mechanical adjustments, and quality inspection.

Preferred:

The Production Operator shall be responsible in ensuring that:

· Production Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times.

· Expected number of finished goods are obtained on an hourly/batch basis.

· Finished goods are packed and filled in the specified volume and with quality packaging material.

· Line clearance is guaranteed to be well performed and premises and products are not susceptible to any contamination.

· Document details are properly filled out and performed.

•Ensures Policy and Standard Operating Procedures in batching RMs are followed.

•Ensures that all raw materials used are based on client formulation with little or no material losses. Compliance to percentage product recovery rate per variant is achieved through due diligence in preparing the RM's until conversion as FG.

•Ensures that batch and weighing scale are verified prior batching operation, using test weights.

•Ensures that finished goods are properly labeled, packed and tagged according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedures.

•Informs the Shift In-Charge and Production Manager of all problems and makes and documents recommendations for modifications needed in the area.

•Ensures to immediately report to his superior any deviation from standards, machine related incidents that may cause delay to operations or to the quality of product.
