• The position is responsible for the implementation of the Company's Raw materials Management Program for cement production and construction. Such program includes:

• Planning and supervision of geological exploration campaign,

• Geological and geotechnical definition/evaluation of geological concepts and resource blocking/delineation,
• Documentation and reporting to both company and regulatory authorities, and
• Application of the use of software related to geological modeling and resources evaluation i.e ARCGIS, QSO, Leapfrog Geo, Surpac.
• This position works very closely with the consultants and raw material experts;
• This position supervises consultants engaged to undertake geological assessment related projects to ensure compliance to Environmental and safety requirements.
• Processing tenement requirements; work closely with government authorities.

• Conduct geological surveys and analyze the physical structure of the Earth.
• Conducting fieldwork to collect samples and gather data (rock, soil, water).
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and make recommendations based on geological data. Clear and concise written and verbal communication for reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists on site assessments and project planning.
• Utilize computer software to create geological models and interpret data.
• Preparation of Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and Permitting
• Expertise in geological principles, mapping, data analysis, and software applications (GIS, CAD, modeling software).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Study of bedrock permeability, weathering condition, lithological variations, and other material properties.
• Preparation of a geological surface and geological factual report under which are summarized all results from the site investigations, including all laboratory and field tests as well as all structural data from geological surface mapping and site walk over survey.
• Preparation of a geological and geotechnical investigation report, which should include a detailed analysis and interpretation of data contained in the above mentioned geological and geotechnical factual report culminating in the development of a geological model of the ground within the route corridor. The geological model will be created based on direct inference from surface mapping, groundwater chemical studies, Petro-graphical studies, and mineralogical studies as well as the reasonable and appropriate extrapolation of the geology and structures from the results of surface mapping.

Responsibilities:

• Perform land-based and/or marine geotechnical drilling and sampling operations.
• Conduct geotechnical analysis of soil samples and studies to assess site conditions.
• Verify and validate assumed soil conditions during project execution.
• Analyze, recommend, and design ground improvements for structural support.
• Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants.
• Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations effectively.

• Ensure concerns regarding the quality of geotechnical drilling and sampling operations and related matters are effectively communicated to senior personnel for resolution.
• Provide leadership, promote teamwork among crew members, and offer training and guidance on company standards, procedures, and geotechnical drilling techniques.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Ensure field crews are suitably trained and equipped by providing regular training on technical and procedural matters.
• Manage and maintain assets on site—including geotechnical drilling equipment, support vehicles, tools, and parts.
• Conduct systematic investigation and documentation of all incidents and accidents on site according to drilling procedures.
• Comply with company reporting requirements—ensuring details are accurate, activities properly documented, and all chargeable items and activities clearly recorded.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or equivalent
• Minimum 05 years' experience of Marine/ Infrastructure works, in related industries
