Position Summary:
The Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems, machinery, and packaging equipment in the brewery. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, assisting in administrative and operational reporting, and providing technical support to the Packaging Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance & Operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and other plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime in packaging and brewing operations.
- Follow safety regulations, electrical codes, and company maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical inventory, spare parts, and maintenance logs.
- Support engineering projects by providing technical assistance for equipment upgrades or automation.
- Suggest and help implement small-scale process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Share best practices with operators and other maintenance staff on basic troubleshooting and safe electrical practices.
Packaging Operations Support
- Provide technical assistance to the packaging operations team to ensure smooth and efficient line performance.
- Assist in equipment setup, calibration, and changeovers as needed.
- Suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare maintenance logs, downtime reports, and energy usage records.
- Keep equipment manuals, electrical diagrams, and maintenance records up to date.
- Assist in preparing reports for the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
- Provides additional support on the packaging operations in bottling, kegging, box forming, etc.
Third-Party Service Provider Coordination
- Help the operations Manager and assist in coordinating with qualified third-party service providers for equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and compliance requirements.
- Help in identifying and gathering information on potential vendors, as directed by the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
- Monitor third-party work and report observations to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Has an EE License.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Experience in packaging operations, preferably in food & beverage manufacturing, is an advantage.
- (Preferred, but not required) BOSH training and/or accredited Safety Officer (SO) Level 2 or above.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Willing to work on-site in Carmona, Cavite.

The
Engineering Technician
is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and conducting repairs of refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, power systems, steam systems, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Provides mechanical technical services necessary for the installation of production, utility, and other support equipment.
- Gathers equipment specifications such as model, serial number, power rating, etc., and compiles all necessary data that will be used in the preparation of preventive maintenance programs and equipment histories.
- Conducts regular preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring, and prepares graphical presentations for benchmarking and analysis.
- Performs corrective maintenance, technical analysis of equipment failures, installation of mechanical equipment, and executes load testing, ensuring compliance with company rules, SOPs, and maintenance program enhancements.
- Implements and/or provides suggestions for continuous improvement of equipment in the production line to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Ensures that all operating systems are in tip-top operating condition.
- Prioritizes safety in their area, ensuring the safety of personnel, materials, products, equipment, tools, and other company properties to prevent Lost Time Accidents.
Job Qualifications
- A graduate of any Engineering course, preferably Industrial Technology.
- With at least six (6) months of experience in any manufacturing industry.
- Must have experience in working with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and Refrigeration System.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance work related to production and utility equipment, preferably in a food manufacturing company.
- Must be able to lift at least 20kg of weight.
- Must possess strong communication skills and a high level of stress tolerance.
