DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• 1. Food Preparation

· This may include preparing cold foods, peeling and cutting vegetables, and assembling meals according to diet orders.

1. Tray Assembly

· Reading menu cards, placing food items on trays according to diet list, and ensuring tray completeness. This include collecting trays and dishes after meals and return them to the kitchen.

1. Meal Delivery

· Transporting food carts to patient rooms or designated areas, serving trays to patients, verify patients' identification and meal tags to ensure correct diet orders, and collecting dirty dishes.

1. Sanitation

· Maintaining a clean work area, washing area, washing dishes and tray, cleaning table, cabinets and oven, and proper disposing of garbage. Ensuring proper hygiene, adherence to health and food safety regulations.

1. Food Safety

· Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.

1. Customer Service

· Providing a positive and helpful experience for patients and staff. Report any patient concern or complaints to supervisors. This may be including assist patients with meal set up if needed.

1. Compliance

· Ensuring adherence to dietary restriction and health and safety regulation

1. Communication

· Effectively communicating with patients, staff, and other team members.

1. Inventory Management

· May be involved in tracking and recording food items. May record the amount and types of special food item served includes daily census.
