We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) to assume responsibility for directing and overseeing our company's HR plans.
This key position will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and we are looking for candidates who possess strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and effective people management skills.
This role requires individuals with a solid HR background who can demonstrate their problem-solving capabilities. Experienced professionals who will enhance the significance of strategic HR within the organization and ensure the long-term success of both our HR function and the company as a whole.
VICE PRESIDENT – Human Resources
Transformational HR leader driving strategic talent management, cultural excellence, and organizational growth, the Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for leading and overseeing an organization's HR function, developing and implementing strategic HR plans and policies to support the company's mission and strategy.
The Vice President of HR's tasks will also include recruitment, training, and compensation; hire, guide, and evaluate HR executives, ensure compliance with labor laws, and analyze HR operations using metrics and analytics. The VP will also collaborate with the management team, oversee HR operations, guide HR executives, ensure compliance with labor laws, and analyze HR effectiveness.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/MSHR preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
BPO Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with BPO operations, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with Philippine labor laws and regulations and familiarity with global HR best practices.
Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing high-performing teams.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and Google Suite.
Certifications: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certifications in organizational development, coaching, or change management is preferred.

- Identify issues & challenges in the branch and propose/provide possible solutions in collaboration with Head of SPD and other branch members
- Initiate/manage branch wide projects and other specific Head Office driven projects
as a center point. (Expense and Branch data management)
- Supervise PIC's coordination/collaboration with various departments in the branch to gather data on branch's revenue, expense & transaction volume in order to obtain branch's correct performance result
Gather and analyze other bank's financial information through various sources for periodic reports to be routed to Head of SPD and Management. (Business collaboration with other MUFG entities)
Manage and maintain relevance of Business Collaboration Frameworks and Procedures with MUFG affiliates. (Corporate Communication)
- Supervise PIC assigned in Corporate Communication to enhance branding, media relations, corporate affairs (including issues/crisis management), internal communications, and corporate social responsibility
- Support Management during an MUFG event by taking on lead roles such as hosting internal and external MUFG events, media briefing or any other occasions related to MUFG.
- Coordinate with other BUs for an effective expense management
- Monitor and manage financial forecast/projections of Manila branch as part of the long-term strategy with other BU
- Work in coordination with other colleagues across the branch to achieve team projects & goals
- Support Head of SPD in managing Strategic Planning, Corporate Communication and Project Management of the department
- Support/guide other SPD staff to achieve their individual development plan/goal and further strengthen the required business skills & knowledge
- Plan and coordinate with other departments to enhance branch's governance and business strategy
- Coordinate with different departments during an audit by Head Office, external auditor, BSP, PDIC or other regulatory agencies
- Perform other tasks that Head of SPD may assign from time to time
- Communication with Government Regulatory Agencies, MUFG Affiliates, other financial organization & financial-related institutions
Qualification & Experience
- Basic skills and knowledge in Project management, central bank regulations & other regulatory bodies, bank's compliance guidelines & operations procedures, market practices, Information Security, basic knowledge of the bank's products. Communication, teamwork, and time management, problem solving and logical thinking, research and presentation, good working knowledge in Windows and other MS Office applications.
- Master's Degree
With at least 3 years of progressive experience in Project Management in financial institutions, consulting firm or equivalent.
- Preferably with 2 years' experience as Chief of Staff.
- Ability to apply defined rules and provide appropriate/effective resolutions. Ability to operate in ambiguous/complex situations and develop creative/innovative solutions. Ability to engage with internal and external parties.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. People management skills.
Above average PC skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Detail-focused (systematic, diligent and precise), Analytical, Ability to evaluate options, solutions and alternatives, Able to operate in a loosely defined parameter.
