Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience in litigation, dispute resolution, or legal support.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and litigation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management tools (e.g., LEAP, Actionstep, Smokeball).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prior experience working with Australian or common law jurisdictions is highly regarded.

Position Summary: Provides legal secretarial support for attorneys and paralegals in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Performs legal secretarial duties requiring specific knowledge of related standards and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Assists attorneys and paralegals with preparation of a wide range of legal documents including wills, trusts, probate pleadings, corporate documents, entity formation documents, and other legal documents under the attorney's direction.

- Assists attorneys to set-up and/or keep Social Media accounts updated to match their biographies on the firm website.
- Screens telephone calls, visitors, and answers and directs inquiries to appropriate attorney.
- Performs various clerical duties including but not limited to: opening and routing mail, typing, filing, copying, scanning, and record keeping.
- Researches case information.
- Files legal pleadings and other documents with various courts; delivers judgments, and orders for signature by judge.
- Maintains and controls all physical and electronic files for the attorneys to which the secretary is assigned; may have the assistance of a File Clerk.

- May serve as backup to other secretaries as needed.
