Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator VA to support the logistics team by coordinating shipments, managing carrier communications, and tracking deliveries. Key Responsibilities
Shipment Scheduling and Coordination
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with freight forwarders, carriers, and transport providers
- Confirm schedules, shipping routes, and delivery timelines to ensure timely shipments
Tracking and Monitoring Shipments
- Monitor shipment status in real time and update stakeholders on progress
- Address any potential delays and keep internal teams informed
Carrier and Vendor Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for carriers and vendors
- Resolve transit-related issues such as delays, routing problems, or product damage
Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices

Rate Negotiation and Cost Management

Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- 12+ years of experience in transportation coordination or logistics (U.S. experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with documentation processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistics issues independently
Preferred:
- Experience with international shipping and customs processes
