A. Site Surveying & Setting Out
- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using total stations, GPS, and other survey instruments.
- Establish reference points, control lines, and elevation benchmarks on construction sites.
- Perform site setting-out activities for structural, civil, and architectural components as per approved plans.
B. Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather accurate field data and interpret survey results for use in design and construction.
- Produce site plans, maps, and drawings from survey data using CAD software or other relevant tools.
- Identify discrepancies between actual site conditions and design drawings, and report variances to project engineers.
C. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure survey data is accurate and aligned with construction requirements.
- Assist in resolving issues related to land boundaries, site levels, and alignments during construction.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input related to surveying matters.
D. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all survey activities, field notes, and calibration logs.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly survey reports, site layout records, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all survey documentation complies with company quality standards and project requirements.
E. Equipment Management & Safety
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and in good working condition.
- Adhere to site safety rules and participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report unsafe conditions or hazards encountered during surveying activities.
A. Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying Technology, or related field.
- Licensed or Registered Surveyor (if required by local regulations).
- Valid training or certification in surveying instruments and software (e.g., Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is an advantage.
B. Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a surveyor in the construction industry, preferably in large-scale or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience in land surveying, construction layout, and as-built verification.
- Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
