- Decide on Mold design concept with help of the Tool designer.
- Direction to be based off customer requirements, overall business objectives, and serviceability ease in production.
- Lead Design Review meetings for their tools, and ensure that all design standards are followed, and documented.
- Monitor, and react where needed to insure cost, quality, and delivery meets targeted assumptions.
- Provide technical assistance, and answers for the Tooling Dept. as required.
- Liaison between internal departments including, but not limited to, Quality, Molding, NPI, Tooling, Shipping.
- Scheduling and Senior Management.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering or equivalent experience is desired.
- Strong background in, and understanding of, the design of plastic part design as it relates to manufacturability and assembly.
- At least 2 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related.
- A strong background in, and understanding of the processing of plastics as it relates to molding and forming along with all associated secondary finishing technologies.
- Technical proficient with Microsoft Office products, Pro-E, Autocad and Moldflow software.
- Posses strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Siemens NX CAD/CAM software Ver. 8
- Hot runner system issue analysis, repair and improve
- Tooling repair report compose and issue analysis.
- Must be willing to work in FPIP Sto. Tomas
