Role Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and technically adept leader to head our Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE). The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise in telecom and the Amdocs BSS stack, and will be responsible for driving excellence across test environment management, test data governance, automation delivery, stakeholder engagement, strategic quality transformation, and defect analytics. This role demands a seasoned leader capable of managing large, distributed teams and delivering high-quality outcomes across complex transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
• Define and evolve the TCoE roadmap aligned with business and technology goals.
• Lead enterprise-wide quality transformation initiatives for telecom clients, modernizing QA practices and embedding quality across the SDLC.
• Establish KPIs and success metrics for testing maturity, automation coverage, and defect leakage.
• Champion quality engineering best practices across agile and DevOps teams.
• Spearhead quality modernization programs for Tier-1 telcos, aligning QA strategy with digital transformation goals.
• Introduce AI/ML-driven testing accelerators, predictive analytics, and intelligent defect triaging.
• Drive shift-left and shift-right testing practices to improve speed, coverage, and reliability
Telecom & Amdocs BSS Expertise
• Provide technical oversight on testing Amdocs BSS modules (CRM, OMS, Billing, Catalog, etc.).
• Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to ensure test coverage across telecom workflows.
• Drive integration testing strategies for OSS/BSS stacks and third-party systems.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders across multiple programs.
• Build trusted relationships with business sponsors, program managers, and delivery heads.
• Translate business goals into actionable QA strategies and ensure alignment across teams.
• Conduct regular governance meetings, executive reviews, and quality scorecard presentations.
Team & Program Management
• Lead and mentor a global QA organization of 100–150 professionals, including test architects, automation engineers, and functional testers.
• Manage a team of Program Test Delivery Managers across multiple verticals and geographies.
• Drive workforce planning, competency development, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Test Environment Management
• Lead a specialized team responsible for executing a transformative, next-generation approach to test environment management.
• Drive innovation through adoption of cloud-native infrastructure, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and environment-as-a-service models.
• Oversee strategic planning, provisioning, and orchestration of dynamic, scalable environments that support continuous testing and rapid release cycles.
Automation Delivery Management
• Lead enterprise-wide automation initiatives using tools like Selenium, Tosca, UFT, or custom frameworks.
• Oversee automation architecture, reusable asset libraries, and script governance.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Ensure robust environment governance, high availability, and seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines to enable agile delivery across telecom platforms.
• Champion automation in environment setup, monitoring, and teardown to reduce cycle time and improve reliability.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 15+ years in software testing, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in telecom domain and hands-on with Amdocs BSS stack.
• Demonstrated success in leading strategic quality transformation for telecom clients.
• Strong knowledge of test environment and data management tools (e.g., Delphix, Informatica).
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Java, Python, etc.).
• Experience in defect analytics, dashboarding, and executive reporting.
