Roles and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and test new or modified programs and software or enrollment development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
• Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of output.
• Review new or modified programs and software or enrollment development procedures, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
• Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
• Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
• Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within deadlines.
• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.

Team-Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports one or more enterprise test efforts simultaneously with a leading Test Manager
• Participates in Discovery checkpoints with the Test Manager to stay abreast of project requirements
• Assists Test Manager with preliminary creation of test plans and project-specific test scenarios
• Owns internal testing activities, including configuration and environment setup, required in the joint testing environment to ensure entry criteria is met with core functionality tested
• Submits information to the Test Manager supporting that entry criteria has been satisfied
• Acts as primary owner in initial defect analysis and reporting during Joint Implementation Testing (JIT)
• Acts as primary owner in execution/validation of scenarios during the Internal System Testing, prior to client turnover for JIT
• Assists with release testing activities to ensure successful deployment
• Supports Test Manager with status meetings with the partner client and the internal project teams
• Supports or provide feedback into internal and external testing status communication via Test Manager
• Processes inbound/outbound files, deliver reports, extract data, etc.
• Supports system setup needs during go-live planning and execution
• Execute basic to average test plans and test case scenarios
• Help in basic to average configuration and enrollment updates for Annual or Off Cycel Renewal projects
• Review basic to average carrier configurations for groups, configure attributes, checks EDI destinations, configure structure updates and verify EDI Destinations exist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in manual functional testing for different technologies (Web and Mobile).
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Regression Testing.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Test Case creation.

• Must have experience in managing and validating defects raised by other team members.

Job Description

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, technical design documents for changes, enhancements, or new modules in the core banking system.
• Ensure requirements are clear, testable, consistent, complete. Raise clarifications with business / developers if requirements are ambiguous.
• Define the scope of testing (what modules/functions will be tested, what is out-of-scope).
• Develop test plans/strategies for various testing types: functional testing, integration testing, regression, performance, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), etc.
• Estimate test efforts (how long, what resources needed) and prepare schedules.
• Design test cases & scenarios covering all functional requirements, edge cases, negative cases, etc.
• Create/prepare test scripts (manual or automated) if automation is used.
• Coordinate or ensure availability of test environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, pre-production) matching production (as much as possible).
• Ensure necessary interfaces, integrations, dependencies are in place (channels, core, external systems).
• Log defects/bugs in the defect tracking tool, with steps to reproduce, severity/priority, screenshots/logs, etc.
• Participate in defect triage meetings to prioritize/follow up which defects to fix, retest.
• Retest fixed defects; validate bug fixes; ensure fixes do not introduce new issues (regression).
• Maintain regression test suites to ensure that new changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
• Maintain test artifacts: test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, defect logs, test summary reports.
• Provide periodic test progress reports to stakeholders (project managers, business, IT, etc), highlighting issues/risks that could affect timelines or quality.
• Participate in reviewing and improving testing methodologies, tools, processes.
