The SIM & Device Test Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of SIM cards and mobile devices within the organization's network ecosystem. This role involves executing SIM Type Approval (TA), batch testing, aftersales troubleshooting, and R&S parametric testing for mobile devices. The position is highly technical and requires hands-on experience with mobile/wireless technologies, compliance standards, and testing methodologies.
The engineer will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and field operations to ensure timely resolution of SIM-related issues, effective device validation, and smooth rollout of SIMs and mobile devices to market.
The Role.
- Conduct SIM Type Approval (TA), batch testing, and aftersales testing to ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
- Perform R&S parametric testing of mobile devices to support type approval and certification processes.
- Monitor and execute all SIM-related testing requests for both BAU and project requirements.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve SIM-related issues (e.g., no signal, expired, missing/defective, rejected SIMs).
- Ensure SIMs and eSIMs (Testbed/Prod) remain future-ready, compliant, and aligned with latest trends such as 5G readiness and eSIM capability.
- Prepare test cases, scenarios, and scripts to evaluate functionality, performance, and interoperability.
