Product Owner will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, providing requirements so that the development team(s) delivers high-quality functionality that delivers the business goals
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to define the product vision and strategy. Ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs
+ Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the requirements and priorities
+ User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write clear and concise user stories/defects and acceptance criteria. Ensure that user stories and defects are well-defined and ready for development
+ Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations
+ Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the priorities and goals for each sprint. Review and accept completed user stories at the end of each sprint
+ Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the product development process
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
+ Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). **Required Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within an agile environment
+ 3+ years of experience as a product owner providing requirements to engineers and non-technical business resources
+ 3+ years of proven ability to develop and build effective partnerships and relationships, collaborating and influencing across multiple levels within the organization
+ 3+ years of solid understanding of SCRUM methodology and agile principles
+ Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Proven solid commitment and passion for a product/customer-centric culture
+ Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Software engineering experience
+ Knowledge of Optum's PBM, Pharmacy & Specialty business and Call Centers
