We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Accountant to complete end to end accounting using Xero, MYOB, and Shopify accounting software. We have two offices, one based in Perth, AUS and our PH team is based in Pampanga. The successful candidate will need to be fluent in verbal and written English.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 7AM to 4PM AWST/PH Local Time. 2 Full time positions available.
Our team is located in Pampanga, so while this role is work from home, this role must be located in that same area for logistical reasons.
Responsibilities
- The accountant will work in a team environment and provide support to customers via telephone, e-mail, and video calls.
- Lodge company, trust, and individual tax returns
- Review and adjust EOFY reconciliations
- Handle GST coding, adjustments, and reconciliation
- Submit BAS/IAS and assist with tax planning
- Communicate directly with clients and the ATO
- Track time in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and work within budget
- Reconcile bank accounts accurately and timely with Xero, MYOB, Shopify software
- Daily entry of key financial transactions data into an accounts system
- Month end close - processing of general journals, accruals, standing journals and general ledger adjustments.
- Completion of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports for a variety of clients to provide relevant and timely financial information to management and the Board including, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS Returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations for overseas and Australian bank accounts.
- Assistance in managing the Accounts Payable function for clients, as required.
- Assistance in managing the Accounts Receivable ledger across clients and ensure appropriate procedures are being followed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in accounting.
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Friendly and helpful personality

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word)
- Advanced knowledge of Gmail / Google Doc, Sheets

Qualifications:

- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree or Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 5-7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Strong understanding of Internal controls and policies
- Knowledge in ERP/Accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle (preferred)
- Work experience in an auditing firm and shared services/multinational company
- Willing to work in BGC Taguig or EPZA Rosario Cavite on a hybrid setup.
