Purpose Of Role
Bookkeepers provide accurate, up-to-date financial information to support business decisions. They may also assist in strategy, annual reports, and tax returns.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Process payments, invoices, receipts, and data entry into accounting software
- Prepare financial statements
- Manage BAS, Superannuation, and Tax payments
- Pay vendor invoices and reconcile bank accounts
- Verify account accuracy, record inconsistencies, and support Accountant in reporting
- Prepare wages and manage employee expense claims
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax law, including GST
- Provide monthly reports summarizing the business's financial position

- Support management and other departments as required
Requirements
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Shiftcare, Brevity, and Xero preferred

What will you do?
- Collaborates with tax expert to ensure local and international tax compliance, timely filling the tax returns and making the tax payments
- Assist in reconciliations of all tax related accounts.
- Will be in charge of VAT reconciliations between Tax Return and GL balance.
- Support the end-to-end process of the application for Inventory destruction in PEZA and BIR
- Compiles the requirements and prepares the application for tax treaty relief

Qualifications:
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree or Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 5-7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Strong understanding of Internal controls and policies
- Knowledge in ERP/Accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle (preferred)
- Work experience in an auditing firm and shared services/multinational company
- Willing to work in BGC Taguig or EPZA Rosario Cavite on a hybrid setup.
