The position is responsible for the timely submission of monthly financial statements and reports. It is also responsible for monitoring daily accounting transactions of the company.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regular:
- Reviews all phases of the accounting operation in the project.
- Oversees and monitors the quality of reports generated by the Accounting Assistant (AA) assigned in the project.
- Checks and analyzes financial statements and other accounting reports within the assigned cluster. Assists the AA on site on accounting procedure.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and supporting documents for the financial reports.
- Assists the AA in preparing reports (i.e. Financial Statements, Cash Flow, Annual Budget, etc.) that may be required.
- Recommends resolution to accounting problems encountered at the project.
- Reviews and ensures that project submits/files/pays correct BIR/SEC/LGU requirements on the deadline set by the regulatory agencies.
- Updates the AA of the new government rulings applicable for implementation at the project level.
- Timely submission of monthly AS Checklist every 25th day of the following month.
- Attends monthly/quarterly meetings required by the Central Office.
- All other related tasks as required.
Occasional:
- Appraises performance of AA on site, in coordination with the respective Building Manager and Operations Manager, in terms of capability to perform Accounting duties. Coaches AA on how to conduct and perform its duties, when necessary.
- Attends to client meetings, when necessary.
- Assists during General Membership Meetings of PM projects in his respective cluster
- Evaluates current accounting processes and proposes improvements for operational efficiency. Conducts spot audit of Petty Cash and other necessary records on site. (Regular)
- Ensures smooth transition of records from outgoing to incoming AA in the event that an AA resigns from or is transferred to another project.
