Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience as a Storage Engineer with expertise across multiple storage technologies like Dell/EMC, ECS, HPE, etc.
- Proficient in backup and restore concepts and hands-on experience with Commvault and Veeam.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware
- Basic administration skills in Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Dell and HP hardware.
- Good knowledge of network and security fundamentals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Solar/BESS Design Work
Provide technical electrical expertise in relation to Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems designs that meet INTEC's requirements and support a quality experience for clients.
Key tasks:
- Development of designs required for Solar PV and Battery Storage systems to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards, ensuring designs meet deadlines required for project plans.
- Assist the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during installation and adjust designs and drawings accordingly, communicating with Project Managers, installers and clients as required.
- Design Solar Distribution boards compliant with Australian standards.
- Commissioning of solar inverters and testing secondary network grid relay protection devices.
- Analyse and design commercial PV solar and battery systems.
- Scoping works and providing quotes and proposals in conjunction with Business Development Managers.
- Liaise with installation teams and assist with overall management of commercial solar projects.
- Attend site inspections and assist with installation pricing and creating bill of quantities.
- Generate and submit network applications for commercial solar PV projects.
- Consult with sales and development teams and be actively involved in tender design with project managers as works go from concept through to commissioning.
- Assist with preparation of tender documents for commercial solar PV projects.
- Prepare System schematics and PV layouts including equipment design for DC and AC side.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Backups and Storage Support Engineer to join our IT operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of enterprise backup and storage systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with backup technologies, SAN/NAS storage, and a strong understanding of data protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily backup operations, including job monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Administer and maintain backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, etc.).
- Provide Level 2/3 support for storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM).
- Perform regular data restore tests to verify backup integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity planning, and allocation to ensure optimal utilization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support data retention and compliance needs.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests related to storage and backups.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident resolution.
- Participate in audits, ensuring data management policies align with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in backup and storage administration.
- Proficient with backup software and enterprise storage systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based backup/storage solutions is a plus (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Role Overview
We're looking for a seasoned
Storage & Backup Engineer
with expertise in enterprise storage administration, disaster recovery, and backup solutions. This role ensures system reliability, data protection, and seamless operations across multi-vendor environments while driving resilient, business-critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain storage infrastructure health, conduct regular system checks, and proactively address performance or capacity concerns to prevent outages or data loss.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage performance issues and backup failures, coordinate with vendor support for advanced problem escalation and permanent resolution.
- Configure, and manage RAID groups, LUNs, volumes, and file systems across multi-vendor platforms (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Vast).
- Lead storage provisioning, DR site replication, graceful shutdowns, decommissions, and seamless upgrades/migrations without business disruption.
- Plan, implement, and optimize business continuity strategies such as replication, using Zerto for both backup and disaster recovery purposes.
- Oversee backup and restoration operations, including configuration of tape libraries, backup job scheduling, policy management, and execution of critical restores, leveraging solutions such as IBM TSM, Commvault, Rubrik, or equivalent.
- Ensure all storage and backup operations are compliant with security, audit, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with application, server, and network teams to deliver integrated solutions and support diverse platforms (Windows, Unix/Linux).
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for architecture, processes, configurations, and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (6+ years) in enterprise storage administration and backup management within large, complex environments.
- Expertise in SAN/NAS systems, RAID configurations, disk array management, storage provisioning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of storage software environments, upgrades, replication, migration, and performance tuning preferably VAST storage (optional: NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, IBM).
- Advanced understanding of data replication, DR strategies, and technologies (SnapMirror, SnapVault, Zerto etc.).
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise backup solutions (IBM TSM/Spectrum Protect, Commvault, Rubrik, or similar) and tape-based backup architectures.
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Unix/Linux server operating systems.
- Solid communication, analytical, and documentation skills; ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified, Dell EMC, HPE GreenLake for File, Commvault Certified, etc.) are highly desirable.
