QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 8 years proven experience in civil/structural design engineering within EPC or consultancy, with a track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience designing large-scale structural projects (PV projects preferred)
- Competent in structural building codes/legislation in Australia and New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and coordinate design work independently, ensuring technical quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with client requirements.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, LiDAR, Navisworks, Revit or equivalent
- Confident in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to prepare quantity take-offs, material estimation, and preparation of bill of material list from drawings

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design Engineering
Provide top-quality and accurate topographical and geomatics engineering expertise that meets INTEC and our clients' requirements by undertaking the following:
Key tasks:
- Develop high-quality digital terrain models (DTMs), (digital elevation models) DEMs, and contour maps to support solar farm, BESS, and substation layout design.
- Perform earthwork volume, grading, and cut/fill analyses to optimize site platforms, drainage paths, and construction efficiency.
- Collect, import, and process topographic, LiDAR, UAV, GPS, and Total Station survey data provided by field teams and external consultants.
- Develop preliminary and detailed earthworks designs, including grading, cut/fill balancing, drainage paths, and platform levels for solar arrays, substations, and BESS facilities.
- Perform quantity take-offs, material estimation, and bill of quantities for earthworks and associated civil works.
- Provide geomatics data and models as a design basis for in-house civil, structural, and electrical design teams.
- Prepare detailed site layout drawings in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, 12D, for access roads, drainage systems, cable trenches, and structural platforms.
- Prepare and maintain survey base drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, 12D, (or equivalent) and ensure integration with GIS/BIM systems.
- Support design development for tracker layouts, substation benching, access roads, drainage systems, and underground cable routing using processed topographic data.
- Cross-check alignment of survey data with geotechnical and structural models for foundation and retaining wall designs.
- Prepare topographic base maps, survey reports, and supporting documentation for design packages, tender submissions, and client reviews.
- Maintain organized databases of survey and geomatics information, ensuring version control and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide visualizations (3D terrain, profiles, cross-sections) to support engineering decision-making and project presentations.
- Provide technical inputs during early project phases (feasibility, concept, tender design) and support detailed design and IFC package preparation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary EPC teams (civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical) to ensure design is based on accurate and up-to-date geomatics data.
Financial management and reporting
- Responsible for ensuring that decisions are made within approved business unit budget and financial delegated authority.
- Provide regular reporting to Engineering Manager AU/NZ on status of all design work.
- Contribute to feasibility and option analysis in the early stages to support business case development and tender responses.
Continuous improvement
- Apply advanced digital survey tools (e.g., LiDAR point cloud modelling, UAV mapping, 3D GIS integration) to improve efficiency of in-house design workflows.
- Stay updated on emerging geomatics technologies and software relevant to renewable energy and substation development.
- Strong focus on identifying and suggesting ways to improve practices and processes that are hampering the smooth operation of the day to day running of the project.
- Support the development of innovative strategies to ensure operational efficiencies, processes and practices.
- Proactively seek opportunities to save unnecessary costs to the project (without compromising quality).
- Contribute to the project review process, ensuring problems identified and possible solutions developed and feedback to operations team.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in the handover process between design, procurement, and construction teams, and suggest improvements.
- Provide technical insights to improve constructability and reduce rework during construction.

Structural Design
- Design and analyze residential and light commercial structures including slabs, footings, retaining walls, steel framing, timber, and masonry structures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in civil and structural design, ideally within a consultancy or design office.
- Experience in residential or small commercial structures is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards is highly advantageous.

You will collaborate closely with Australian engineers and project managers to deliver structural and civil designs compliant with Australian Standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, design precision, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities
Structural Design
- Design and analyze residential and light commercial structures including slabs, footings, retaining walls, steel framing, timber, and masonry structures.
- Develop structural design calculations and documentation using relevant Australian Standards (AS 2870, AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 3700, AS 1720).
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, and detailed specifications.
- Review and verify structural integrity of design outputs prior to submission.
Civil and Stormwater Design
- Support civil and stormwater design including on-site detention (OSD), stormwater drainage, and hydraulic impact assessments.
- Prepare design drawings, concept layouts, and modeling outputs using DRAINS or similar civil software.
- Review site layouts and prepare driveway crossover designs and swept path analysis as required.
Technical Support and Coordination
- Respond to RFIs, update design revisions, and maintain documentation accuracy
- Coordinate with project engineers, drafters, and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Participate in internal QA reviews and ensure compliance with Australian building codes and project standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in civil and structural design, ideally within a consultancy or design office.
- Experience in residential or small commercial structures is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SpaceGass, RAPT, Inducta, Strand7, or similar analysis software.
- Working knowledge of DRAINS or equivalent stormwater software is desirable.
- Experience in MS Office, Revit, or BIM tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Background
- Familiarity with project documentation standards and QA procedures used in Australian engineering consultancies.

Civil Design Engineer (Roads & Pavement)
based in
Makati City, Manila Philippines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 8 years proven experience in civil, roadworks, pavements and bridges design engineering within EPC or consultancy, with a track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or transporation Engineering (Master's degree in Transportation or Geotechnical preferred)
- Experience designing large-scale structural projects (PV projects preferred)
- Competent in structural building codes/legislation in Australia and New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver complex EPC projects from concept through detailed design and IFC stage.
- Proficient in ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Robot, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil 3D Pavement, PLAXIS, Navisworks, Revit.
- Confident in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to prepare quantity take-offs, material estimation, and preparation of bill of material list from drawings
- Experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Able and willing to travel internationally (mainly between Australia & NZ)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design Engineering
Provide top-quality and accurate civil design engineering expertise that meets INTEC and our clients' requirements by delivering detailed designs for roads, pavements, bridges, and associated civil elements of large-scale EPC projects by undertaking the following:
Key tasks:
- Lead the design of internal access roads, perimeter roads, and heavy-duty haulage routes for solar farms, BESS, and substations.
- Develop detailed pavement designs (flexible and rigid pavements) considering traffic loads, geotechnical conditions, and durability requirements.
- Optimize designs for constructability, long-term performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare grading plans, cut-and-fill balance reports, and stormwater drainage layouts to support EPC project development.
- Design civil elements, including drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, retaining walls, fencing layouts, cable trenches, and equipment foundations.
- Perform detailed design of small to medium span bridges, swept path analysis, culverts, and crossings to support internal access roads and heavy equipment haulage within solar farm, BESS, and substation sites.
- Develop structural and hydraulic design reports for bridge and culvert works, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, flood levels, and site-specific geotechnical conditions.
- Design site civil infrastructure including access tracks, drainage systems, culverts, and associated civil works.
- Integrate topographic and geotechnical data into earthworks and road design.
- Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with project and client requirements.
- Prepare pavement design reports, earthworks design reports, and material quantity take-offs for tendering and construction.
- Work closely with geomatics, structural, and electrical design teams to ensure seamless integration of road and pavement works with overall EPC project layouts.
- Review and validate external consultant and subcontractor design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and New Zealand standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes, templates, and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and project outcomes.
Financial management and reporting
- Responsible for ensuring that decisions are made within approved business unit budget and financial delegated authority.
- Provide regular reporting to Engineering Manager AU/NZ on status of all design work.
- Contribute to feasibility and option analysis in the early stages to support business case development and tender responses.
Continuous improvement
- Continuously review and optimize foundation and structural design methodologies to improve cost efficiency, constructability, and alignment with project execution strategies.
- Contribute to the development of standardized design procedures, calculation templates, and reporting formats to enhance consistency and efficiency across EPC projects.
- Strong focus on identifying and suggesting ways to improve practices and processes that are hampering the smooth operation of the day to day running of the project.
- Support the development of innovative strategies to ensure operational efficiencies, processes and practices.
- Proactively seek opportunities to save unnecessary costs to the project (without compromising quality).
- Contribute to the project review process, ensuring problems identified and possible solutions developed and feedback to operations team.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in the handover process between design, procurement, and construction teams, and suggest improvements.
- Provide technical insights to improve constructability and reduce rework during construction.
