Ongoing Weekly Code Reviews

What Will You Do?
You will be working remotely from the Philippines, for clients in the Netherlands, together with experienced colleagues. You will be assigned to work hands-on on a specific client product, but are also expected (once you've settled in your team) to help out other teams with their architectural decisions.
As a software architect, you, together with your team, will be responsible for the client's products. Your input is crucial for the Scrum Product Owner, since at BlueShores, we don't just ask you to work on projects, we expect you to co-own them. As such, you will get a lot of responsibilities, a clear voice within the client's company and a notable impact on the products you work on.
Who Are We Looking For?
As our new enthusiastic, proactive Software Architect:
- You have 7+ years of proven working experience, using the below mentioned tech stack
- You write clean, reusable code, tested by unit and integration tests
- You know how to balance excellent code and on-time delivery
- You take ownership of the product, and know how to steer your team
- You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- You are fluent in English. Good communication skills. Able to speak your mind
Tech skills
- Experience with Python fastAPI and SQLalchemy years)
- Experience with implementing frontend designs using a modern typescript frontend stacks, such as React and (3+ years)
- Experience working with async processing, and backend queueing systems
- Experience working with microservices
- Experience with AWS and/or DigitalOcean
- Nice to have: experience with PHP Laravel Framework
- Nice to have: experience with Vue2 > Vue3 migrations

Primary Responsibilities
Our project teams are frequently required to design solutions to business problems that involve new and complex integration patterns with other internal UHG technology platforms. The solution architect works in the initial stages of the discovery and design process to understand what is needed and what is possible. The role involves:
- Understanding UHG technology design patterns and standards
- Understanding the current project technology ecosystem
- Understanding the near- and long-term roadmap to design solutions that incorporate a practical plan for implementation
- Working with the delivery teams to carry out the design - answering their questions and being available to be "hands-on" as needed to resolve unexpected blockers
- Reviewing items delivered by the delivery team (i.e. looking at code, testing, etc.)
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). What skills/attributes are a must have:
- 10+ years of relevant software development experience including recent work with React framework and RESTful services
- 10+ years of experience in React framework including hooks and component architecture
- 7+ years of experience in Performance Optimization: code splitting, lazy loading, memorization
- 10+ years of experience in API design for REStful services and GraphQL
- 7+ years of experience in Authentication/Authorization patterns such as OAuth
- 7+ years of Azure cloud concepts including App Services and Application Insights
- State management using tools like Redux or React Query
- Data security, including encryption; Knowledge of security tools like Twistlock, SonarQube
- Proven solid communication skills including comfort with leading architectural design meetings
- Proven excellent collaboration within the team and supply chain teams
- Proven ability to quickly create easily understood system architecture diagrams to communicate designs, workflows, and dependencies
- Understanding of design principles including SOLID and clean architecture
