Requirements

Job Description

  • Design the PCB interface hardware solutions in cooperation with Probe Card Engineers.
  • Responsible for power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) simulation at board level or system level, frequency domain or time domain to ensure HW product performance at the design stage.
  • Implement complex mechanical design/simulation, cable design, thermal evaluation by collaborating with other engineering teams to achieve premium quality in hardware solutions according to customer device testing requirements.
  • Adhere or improve established DFM, DFS, DFA, and DFT rules.
  • Responsible for scheme selection of a SUBSTRATE/MLO design in wafer testing, research for low Cost of Test scheme (considering TDE, Skip DIE, substrate stack-up)
  • Creating the CAE (schematic) and CAD (footprint) symbols of components/devices upon the request of PCB designers
  • Keeping the maintenance of the center server which is the database containing all CAE and CAD symbols used in PCB design
  • Collaborating/providing feedback to PCB designers regarding inquiries on component knowledge

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Micro-Electronics, Mechatronics, Communication Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation and Measurement, Biomedical engineering or similar major related to circuit design or hardware engineering
  • SI/PI Simulation Experience is a prefered.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electronic circuit theory and application
  • Knowledge and experience in multi-layer board design and embedded system design

About the Client

Our client develops 100% electric light vehicles (EUVs) designed for ruggedised mining, industrial, and commercial applications. Their vehicles deliver safety, performance, and reliability to exacting industrial standards, helping clients decarbonise their sites in the toughest outdoor conditions. What You'll Do

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for EVs, including chassis, suspension, drivetrain integration, and cooling systems.
  • Use CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or equivalent) for 3D modeling, tolerance analysis, and design validation.
  • Support prototype builds, fitment trials, and testing to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on fabrication, machining, and sourcing; perform DFM reviews.
  • Conduct testing for structural integrity, NVH, and thermal performance, and troubleshoot issues when needed.
  • Work closely with electrical/software teams for seamless system integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Master's preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype assembly and validation testing.
  • Familiarity with thermal management, lightweighting, and NVH design.

About the role

Join the dynamic team at Virginia Food, Inc (VFI) as a Mechanical Design Engineer. In this full-time position based in Cogon Compostela Cebu, you will play a crucial role in the company's mechanical engineering operations, contributing to the development and improvement of VFI's innovative products and processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and tools to support VFI's manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and validation of mechanical designs to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering, and incorporate new technologies and best practices into your work
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of VFI's mechanical engineering practices and documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • With at least 1 year of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical piping systems and design principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
