JOB SUMMARY
The Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting the Mechanic in performing the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting of assigned vehicles and equipment. He/she also performs a routine inspection of vehicles to prevent major breakdowns and minimize the cost of repairs and replacements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Assists the mechanics of assigned tasks.
Assists in conducting diagnosis, analysis, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all vehicles, from light to heavy equipment.
Assists mechanics in performing basic electrical repairs, under chassis, and other servicing of vehicles, including changing of oil and tires, brakes, wheel alignment, and brusher.
Respond to emergency calls after duty hours to rescue down vehicles if necessary.
Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the Motor Pool.
Willing to be assigned at Dumoy, Davao City
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Vocational Course in Automotive Servicing or any related courses.
Work Experience
At least one year of experience in diagnosis and maintenance of automobiles.
Skills Required
Knowledge in Mechanical repairs and spare parts identification of heavy equipment and vehicles
Must be an expert in his field of work and can work alone to schedule activities.
Knowledge of tools and equipment and their functions
Troubleshooting skills
Good working attitude
