**Role description**:
Provides leadership and direction to the team and works closely with the global and regional finance leaders to define and implement necessary process changes
Responsible for both strategic and tactical operational strategies in building organizational capabilities ensuring quality and operational efficiencies within the workstream in particular, while collaborating with the other Leadership team members in building a more cohesive, best in class and service excellence driven center
**Role accountabilities**:
Overall responsible for the entire General Accounting process, but not limited to, month-end close and financial reporting, enabling function and indirect cost accounting, balance sheet control, treasury accounting, payroll accounting, and their corresponding internal controls.
Establish and communicate a clear vision for the General Accounting processes across the GSSC organization.
Collaborate with the different regions in Finance in executing a global strategy for the GA Finance transformation, including associated policies and technology changes, as necessary.
Design and implement priority projects and process improvement initiatives to harmonize and standardize processes across all regions, and achieve the goals of operational and cost efficiency
Achieve optimal productivity of the teams ensuring resources are utilized leveraging on available technology and IT tools.
Implement a robust performance management process, working closely with the different stakeholders and / or business leaders of the functions and business unit in setting the target service level agreements. Establish and consistently monitor relevant and robust performance metrics and relevant key performance metrics that create a performance driven and customer focused culture across all teams
Ensure smooth operations for the General Accounting function, adhering to established or to be established service level agreements in terms of efficiency, timeliness and quality.
Review and analyze current policies and procedures in order to recommend and implement changes or create them to standardize and optimize activities integrated into shared services
Employing root cause analysis and other problem-solving methodologies for errors and challenges faced to ensure both corrective and preventive actions are implemented
Responsible for the overall performance of the team, monitoring their performance, providing timely feedback & assisting them to improve on their identified training needs
Translate strategic objectives into SMART clear operational objectives for the team, providing coaching, career development and feedback to team members and providing performance evaluation
Lead the maintenance of a strong Controls environment within the function.
Stay abreast of process trends and leading practices in the industry to inform strategic direction and process enhancement
**Qualifications & Experience**:
Bachelor's degree with a major in finance, business or accounting
At least 15+ years of total experience, including more than 10 years of experience in Finance and accounting within a large, multifaceted organization
Extensive end to end knowledge and experience of the General Accounting process in a global capacity
Strong customer service mind-set with good motivation and negotiation skills
Track record of having effectively managed large projects within financial accounting, or finance scope
Experience in setting the standards for performance for the teams, developing and implementing relevant key performance indicators
Strong business process skills with the ability to harmonize, standardize and optimize General Accounting process thru different process improvement initiatives.
Business and strategic problem analytical skills setting the vision for the General Accounting function.
Proficient in an ERP platform, and in using Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in managing a group of at least 50 people and has managed leaders / managers.

What You'll be Doing Do you have a passion for leading, mentoring and coaching? During a Typical Day, You'll
· Improve the key success metrics associated with goals. These include:
o Customer Satisfaction Score
o Service Level Goals
o Quality Goals
· Coach associates to ensure achievement of company and client goals while addressing employee related issues and coordinating training on new or revised information relating to services, products or processes of projects
· Bring your time management and organizational skills to manage multiple, complex, on-going tasks and projects while monitoring absence and attendance of your team
What You Bring to the Role
· Minimum 1 year call center or equivalent work experience
· Continuously promote a performance-driven culture and always work towards reaching for amazing
· Engage and support your team in making sure they have the proper tools and systems to accomplish day-to-day tasks
· Consistently mentor and inspire others

· Understanding, interpreting, and manipulating data for reporting
