- Evaluates Company's/Subsidiaries' tax position to improve existing tax practices and procedures and to manage tax liabilities or exposures identified, thus helping minimize controversies with tax authorities
- Assists in contesting assessments involving national, local and real property taxes including preparation of position papers and protest letters; follow-ups and discussions with revenue officers on their findings
- Prepare, file and monitor all statutory compliance with BIR, PEZA, LGUs and other related institutions
- Provides opinion on tax implications of different business transactions
- Provide advice and assistance with the registration and reporting requirements of government agencies relating to tax and/or investment incentives granted under various investment laws and regulations as administered by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Finance, Board of Investments, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Clark Development Corporation, Local Governments, etc.
- All other BIR correspondences and submissions (e.g. Tax Treaty Relief Application, BIR rulings, Application for Computerized Accounting System, etc.)
- Mentor and supervise junior tax accountants
- Other ad hoc activities as the need arises
