Key Responsibilities:
br>Taxation

Manage and review tax reporting across the company and its group.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and government reportorial requirements (BOI and SEC).
Respond promptly to BIR and regulatory bodies' inquiries and provide necessary requirements.
Lead the Tax Division team with coaching and mentoring.
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions of the Accounting Support Division.
Ensure accurate journalization and preparation of financial statements.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with detailed analysis.
Collaborate with auditors for review and audit matters.
Enhancing Financial Checks and Controls

Recommend policies to maintain integrity in financial reporting and taxation.
Develop and monitor systems for financial checks and controls.
Ensure regular compliance with tax regulations and PH government legislation.


What We're Looking For:

Licensed CPA: Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines is a plus.
Experience: At least 5 years in Taxation and Accounting, with 4+ years in an audit firm is a plus.
Audit Firm Experience: Experience with reputable audit firms is a plus.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of PH tax laws, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Skills: Leadership, attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Job purpose
The Accounts Specialist – Asset and Tax is responsible for the financial soundness and accuracy of all accounting transactions br>particularly Safeguarding of assets and other reports.
He/ She provides support and assistance in the over-all management of the department.

Major accountabilities
Transactions
• Checks and verifies the submission of documents needed to be capitalized and encoded to the < r>Fixed asset registry.
• Performs the necessary journal entries of transactions pertaining to Fixed Assets such as transfer, < r>disposal and retirement.

Education and experience

**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the go-to person of the specific location in terms of the knowledge of the in-scope Accounting & Reporting processes (journal entries preparation, reconciliation, reporting and analysis).
+ Prepare and complete monthly/quarterly reporting to groups throughout MIM and Manulife with little to no supervision. Process include but not limited to preparation of journal entries, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.
+ Ensure that all processes/deliverables for the day have undergone internal first level review process prior to submission.
+ Perform controls and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

**Required Qualifications**
+ University graduate in Accounting/Finance, professional accounting designation (CPA) is an advantage
+ At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting and/or audit. Experience and knowledge on Investment/ Asset Management industry is an advantage
+ Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. knowledge and application of excel formulas and pivot tables is required); VBA is a plus
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to succinctly engage with business partners and team members
+ Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of the business environment and financial reporting structure to provide value-added analysis
+ Knowledge of general ledger reporting tools and systems
