Brief Description

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial statements of all entities and providing necessary schedules and substantiation for balances and disclosures in the financial statements.

**Responsibilities**:
The Financial Reporting Analyst should:

- Analyze Financial Performance vs. Budget
- Prepares Annual Budget
- Preparing accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis performed.
- Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
- Establishing and evaluating records, statements, and profit plans.
- Identifying financial performance trends and financial risk, and making recommendations.
- Providing recommendations for improvement based on trends.
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team, such as a risk analyst when required to review financial information and forecasts.
- Providing financial models.
- Making financial forecasts.
- Analyzing inventory.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- At least 3 years as Financial Planning Analyst
- Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of retail and inventory accounting

**Required qualifications:**
+ University graduate in Accounting/Finance, professional accounting designation (CPA) is an advantage

+ Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint (i.e. knowledge and application of excel formulas, pivot tables and creating of charts and tables is required);

**Job Overview**
Support business transformational projects including implementation of functional resource models, strategic enterprise models, and corporate acquisitions through due diligence review, transition and integration planning and execution, and closing activities. Supports with transaction post go live / close as transition and integration activities continue. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for completing various bank, suspense, balance sheet account reconciliations and other monthly production tasks while working closely with the WAM US Retail and Retirement team and to provide support to our contacts on the related business units within Global Wealth Asset Management (GWAM). The role is focused on deliverables that are related but not limited to accounting and reporting activities within the regular monthly, quarterly, and year end close financial reporting: preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, variances analysis, and various finance reports.

+ Demonstrates a working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory rules and/or business processes as it pertains to the accountant's sphere of responsibility (e.g., a set of regulatory filings or account reconciliations)
+ Demonstrates broad based analytical and inquiry skills to understand legal entity financial statements, board reports, and/or filings.
