Job Title: Cables and Pipelines Engineer (Global Business Services company)

Role Overview:

The Cables and Pipelines Engineer is responsible for designing, reviewing, and delivering technical solutions for underground utility infrastructure projects, including cables and pipelines, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. This role involves close collaboration with clients, preparation of technical documentation, and adherence to internal QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in fields such as telecommunications or public infrastructure, primarily managing underground utility systems, including cables and pipelines.
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD and other GIS-based tools (required)
  • Must have proven experience in both doing fieldwork and reviewing, designing, and mapping of underground cables & pipelines (preferably infrastructure or telco projects).

+ Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
+ This position requires detailed working knowledge on banking applications and architecture, and software development life cycle (SDLC)
+ Has a positive, pro-active and take-charge attitude
+ Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
+ Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
+ Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
+ Help maintain code quality, and organization
+ Liaise with internal and external clients
+ Analyse clients' existing system
+ Be hands on and involved in providing user support which requires investigation and troubleshooting issues
+ Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business sustainability
+ Hands on individual and be able to work with local and offshore teams to deliver projects on their technical aspects
**Core specific Technical Skillset required :**
+ 7+ years of experience in Java development
+ 5+ years of experience in .Net development particularly in C# WinForms (prefer version 3.5 or higher)
+ Need to have good debugging and problem solving skills
+ Should have good understanding of Framework and Design Patterns and able to understand complex Architectural aspects
**Experience and Essential Knowledge/Skills**
