Position Overview

The Security Staff is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the office premises, employees, visitors, and company assets. This role involves monitoring access points, enforcing office security protocols, and providing immediate response to security incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the office premises, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
• Conduct regular patrols within and around the office area to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage visitor logs, issue visitor passes, and ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Operate and monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other surveillance systems.
• Inspect deliveries, packages, and vehicles entering office grounds as needed.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; escalate to management when necessary.
• Maintain detailed reports on daily security activities, incidents, and irregularities.
• Enforce office rules and regulations, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; security training or certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience as a security guard, office security, or related role preferred.

• Physically fit and able to handle extended periods of standing or patrolling.

-Report any incidents to LPD - initial information must be relay immediately not later than 15 minutes upon detection of any incidents

-Report immediately to LPD if a variance occured during the inventory

-Inspect CCTV DVR if functioning

-Inspect internet connection

Safety Tasks

-Check all lights and electrical connections

-Check all above head installed Storages, Cabinet, display to prevent falling object incident

-Ensure stockroom safety and avoid improper and disorganized stocks that may fall and cause injury or obstruction on emergency exit

-Report any emergency incident to the LPD

-Coordinates with the mall admin or security in terms of security concerns

-Coordinates with the local authorities, Police or Barangay during an incident or emergency, if necessary

-Prepares evidence and necessary documents for case filing in case of apprehension of shoplifter/s

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Security/Loss Prevention Operations

• Assists the Director of Engineering in administering fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness.

• Conducts hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.

• Develops detailed "shut down" procedures for the property to ensure that all areas are secured at the appropriate times.

• Comply with applicable laws and safety regulations.

• Follow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property.

• Develop a monthly checklist for all cctv equipment, alarmed doors, and duress alarms to ensure that they are fully functional.

• Incorporate into patrols, which encompass all areas of the property's interior and exterior, an inspection tour of recording system.

• Follow Duty of Care process for the protection of guests and employees.

• Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well being of guests and employees.

• Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
