Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the Food & Beverage Division of NTQ, leading a team of staff and working closely with the Team Leader to deliver excellent service to resort guests. This role includes managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, mentoring, and training staff, as well as ensuring sufficient manpower during peak seasons. The supervisor will also be actively involved in food preparation, menu suggestions, and event planning. Additionally, they will ensure that VIP guests' food and beverage needs are met and provide support for other resort needs as assigned by the Operations Manager, General Manager, or President.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the Food & Beverage team, including the Team Leader and staff, to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare work schedules and manage manpower requirements, especially during peak seasons.
• Mentor and train team members to maintain service standards and efficiency.

Food and Beverage Operations

• Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to quality and presentation standards.
• Participate in food tastings and provide suggestions for menu themes, especially for events.
• Manage inventory of food and beverage supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Guest Services

• Ensure VIP guests receive personalized attention, particularly for their food and beverage preferences.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Uphold high standards of service and hospitality across all interactions.
• Event and Special Function Support
• Assist in planning and executing food and beverage offerings for events and themed activities.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to align with the resort's goals.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, schedules, and inventory.
• Submit periodic reports on team performance, guest feedback, and operational needs.

Support for Resort Operations

• Assist in resort-related tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager, General Manager, or President.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in Food & Beverage or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food preparation, presentation standards, and service protocols.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work during peak seasons, weekends, and holidays.

Work Conditions

• Work is primarily onsite at the resort and may involve long hours during busy periods.
• Role requires a mix of administrative work and hands-on involvement in food and beverage operations.

• Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service in food and beverage settings. Duties include taking and serving orders, preparing simple food items, maintaining cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas, and ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

· Responsible in preparing place, plates, spoons, and bowls on the station.

· Responsible in preparing and/or transport all food and beverage items and associated supplies, equipment, and materials to and from the buffet areas.

· Responsible in monitoring the area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverage, trays, plates, utensils, napkins, condiments, etc. to serve all guests; replenish buffet items and areas as necessary.

· Ensure proper cleaning of checkout and dining area.

· Responsible in preparation methods, times, and quality and presentation standards. Monitor, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, and garnish method.

· Responsible in welcoming the guests and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner. Refer any serious matters to management.

Job Description:

• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.
• Check in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service.
• Monitor the restaurant's cash flow and settling outstanding bills.

Marketing

Collaborate with the Sales Team to drive sales on our Online and Offline channels

• Drive commercial strategy in retail and e-commerce channels (e.g. product assortment, pricing and promotions, category and channel management)
• Work with the sales team on specific activation opportunities to push traffic, conversions, and sales
• Online Platforms: Brand .com website, Ecommerce marketplaces (Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, BeautyMNL, etc.), trade retailers' online platforms
• Offline Accounts: Retailers and wholesalers
• Work closely with the ECM Operations team, Technology team (web developers, UI and UX designers), and customer support teams to provide the best end-to-end customer experience

Product Management

• Product Segmentation and assortment: Have deep product knowledge and industry knowledge of current product line and potential new product lines
• Perform product research and competitive analysis
• Test and provide insight on key USPs (unique selling points) of our products and strategize on best ways to market these products
• Provide product training to team members and relevant stakeholders
• Conduct feasibility studies for new products to be introduced to the market

Experience in the following areas:
